I think he will and i think if Lehner is any good they'll use Ullmark as trade bait. - Sabresfan-365
I don't know if i would want to move him just yet.... I know there is a log jam at the postion down there but i would let him play a year or two down there and really see what we have with him. |

Can't we just trade Chad for a bag of pucks (7th round pick) and have Ullmark be the backup/playing partner of Lehner?
I'd MUCH prefer that. - kingcong39
I wouldn't. Chad is a serviceable backup and has been better than Ullmark lately. He lets in a terrible goal once in a while but he's also won and stolen us games this year. Let Ullmark play all the time in the AHL and then when he's ready to be a full time back up let him do it the right way. |

I see Guhle and Pysyk as the 3/4
an impact d man is needed still for risto, the biggest piece that we need
which of course makes mccabe a tradeable asset for drouin - homiedclown
What are your (and anyone else please chip in) thoughts on comparing McCabe with Pysyk?
I ask because Pysyk has had injury issues (hell, if Lehner is "injury prone", Pysyk is on his last legs!) and just wonder if Pysyk would be the better person to move if other teams liked him.
I like the player, so no one needs to jump on me for wanting to move him... |

Lol. I still hope Fasching makes it in a big way, cuz I Miss McNabb and would rather he were paired w/ Risto than Gorges. But if Fasching turns into the next Cam Neely then who cares? |

I think you are right that Pysyk is more injury prone but I think that Pysyk's ceiling is higher as an all around dman and minutes eater. I see him as a solid 2nd pairing guy with much more experience in this role.
I think that McCabe is a very solid Dman most likely a #4 or 5 who is yet to find their niche. |

He has been solid. Team has let him down when he has played with leaving wide open players or just not clearing the puck out. I do not put that on him at all. I like that way he is progressing. I hope he kills it in the A but aren't we a little crowded down there in net? Curios to see how that works itself out. - CoHo_to_B-Lo
Agree. I like what I have seen from Ullmark and im hoping he is our backup starting next season. I would much rather have him up here as our back up over Johnson. Chad Johnson is garbage |

not sure i would say GREAT.. but he has been very good.. he proved he can be a viable nhl goalie. that being said if he is gone i am not losing sleep..

I look at the two of them as our 3-4 pairing of the future, with the only difference being you will notice McCabe much more from game to game while Pysyk will be the quiet, effective type every game. |

Chad Johnson is trash. Every goalie goes on hot streaks. He has lost us countless games single handedly |

Isn't Lehner only 2 years older? I think his value, given his meteoric rise from double hip surgery to NHL, is probably at its highest its ever been. I would prefer to keep Ullmark but he's at a disadvantage competing with Murray's boy. |

i don't think that is really saying much.. talbot has like a .91 s% and has been alright.. but lack has a .89

Yea im sure its the highest its ever been considering this is his first season playing. There is no way im trading Ullmark right now. Whats the point? to acquire a draft pick? |

it seems like a goalie is either great or trash. Chad is neither, you can tell he is getting the feel of it better with more time but yes he is not good enough to be a starter. I think if he were sent back to a full back up roll with limited starts the chad of last season will come out to play |

Who are the two MC's on the NHL bet coverage of the jr's? The one guy just said to the other that he should be excited for Buffalo in the draft. |

i think he is our best shot at goalie based on what i have seen.. but i still don't think he will ever be ryan miller elite. imo he will be a top half of the league goalie, but it will be closer to the middle than the top |

I think he said/meant he should be excited for the draft in Buffalo.
It was probably Dave Starman, the faster talking of the two. |
