He scored 20 goals two out of the first three seasons briere and drury were gone.

Then he fell off a cliff.

I really miss the old shade of blue, and the patches on the shoulders.

I could also do without the grey anywhere on the jersey.

I like our jerseys, but I'll agree with everything you just said. The shade is my new big thing. On TV our jerseys look almost black. We should be that royal blue and gold. Change the shade, get rid of the grey, and you have some really nice jerseys.

That being said, I complained for 3 years about the turdburgers and it took that long to get rid of them. If this is what we have to stick with then it's not that bad. The road jerseys are at least really nice.

I will grant you he was very responsible defensively; that he benefitted tremendously from the talent that surrounded him, and that he had an uncanny knack for scoring on the most ridiculous improbable shots.

Seemed like every other game I would find my self responding to his shot attempt with a "WTF does he think is gonna ... (goal horn). YEEESSSSSS!"

I will grant you he was very responsible defensively; that he benefitted tremendously from the talent that surrounded him, and that he had an uncanny knack for scoring on the most ridiculous improbable shots.

But it's mostly wingers (or centres who may be better suited for the wing) and outside the top 3 there are a lot of questions surrounding the other players regarding consistency, size, ceiling etc.

Maybe he is not thrilled with where we are in the standings, but i have a seriously hard time believing he would think this is a playoff roster going into the season.

Since he is a draft guy i would like to believe he also wants another high draft pick while there is still dead weight on the team. Not when its been removed.

I would pay money to listen to those. Mind you, I could never imagine speaking fluently in another language, but his was just the best.

If we are going to give him credit for this team being improved in many areas while still in the thick of a rebuild I might move to winnipeg

It might be from last season but he didn't seem like he expected us to be last but didn't expect us to make the playoffs either. He seemed like he was looking for improvement and development and I think we've at least shown that in play, if not in standings yet.

Gotta remember how historically bad we were last year. To improve from that to be even a little competitive is hard. That next step will come.

He's also shooting extremely well. Not sure how sustainable it is over the next few years. Need it this year for sure otherwise we'd have nothing.

Jack and Sam's progression are the biggest things to me. If they grow like they are projected to then we'll all be okay. Kane and O'Reilly gelling with the team is the second biggest, and then finding who is going to be on this team when we go for our run is objective 3.
