Yzerman will bury him in the ahl till he gets a deal he wants! Your not going to force Steve yzermans hand any quicker

People really have short memories. Anyone on here saying Yzerman won't get much in return for a highly skilled, low cost, young forward prospect because his agent has revealed they requested a trade seem to have forgotten what he got back for an over the hill Marty St Louis who publicly demanded a trade because he was acting like a whiny petulant child after being rightfully left off the team Canada Olympic roster.

I just don't see teams giving up more established players in return for him, he will get a nice package but there will be risk in unproven pieces coming back as well.

Also, TBL can't afford to take on much in terms of salary, so it would have to be picks/prospects

For the Avs perspective would lightning be interested in Bleackley, Grigorenko and a pick? Lots of high ceiling talent there, but just not established yet, same as Drouin

Tampa would be looking for a top prospect and a 1st rounder for him! Really they can't take a big salary back unless they unload Matt carle.

Yes they want young top prospects and draft picks! We got hedman, kucherov, palat, stamkos and Johnson to resign all in the next two seasons.

bc of Carle I do think Avs will be involved with this. With his NTC and U of Denver ties, he might waive to go back to Denver.

Avs would probably have to give up Holden (1.6m) or Stuart (3.4m) just to work contract wise. Lightning get cap relief in hit and term with either of those guys

What makes you think he is worth a first rounder and a top prospect? Drouin is considered a top prospect yes, but why is someone giving up that plus a first?

if the Jets dont resign Buff they will have the cap space to take Carle as well.

I don't know much about him and he is only 20, but he hasn't really done much. How much longer are they riding is "draft position" before he actually needs to prove himself? I can't imagine it'll take a lot to get him considering he is still kinda unproven.

He's scoring at a better even strength rate adjusted for ice time than Stamkos, Kucherov etc. not sure what else they want from him before they start giving him more than 7min a game.

Sabres have to be in on this. Would get plenty of ice time and develop along other young guns.
Sabres loaded at center and forced to move players to wing.

Wonder if TB would be interested in Ennis?

They want what is not seen in the stats. He makes a lot of bad turnovers in terrible spots that just happen to not get put into the back of the Lightning net. His numbers are fine, he isn't the one driving those numbers, a lot of second assists.

6 goals in 89 games in the NHL? No thanks. He's too small.

Not every organization can manipulate the cap and get ugly contracts off the books like the Kings did with Richards.

How is that factual? He got Ben Bishop for Corey Conacher, has drafted very well besides Drouin and has some pretty good contracts that he has signed.

I still have no idea how the Voynov cap hit was taken off the books during his suspension... is Torres' cap hit off the books for SJS for instance?

may not have a choice, all indications are Buff wants to test free agency. Tampa would love to get Carle off the books to help them sign everyone else. Carle only has two years left so if it helps the Jets land Drouin, taking Carle as well isn't horrible.
