Sens should be all over this. Bryan Murray wouldn't be afraid to pull a trade for Drouin, I'm sure.
Here are some propositions:
Zibanejad + Chiasson
For
Jonathan Drouin
Colin White
For
Jonathan Drouin
Curtis Lazar + 2nd round pick
For
Drouin |

Agree to disagree. Tampa controls him through next year on ELC and then through the RFA process. They don't have to do anything just because he's pouting. They could keep him in the AHL as the extra forward for years if they wanted to. He might want out but his leverage is minimal - jbs32
If he wants out, and is unproven then Yzerman will not get a huge return. |

You expect both Nylander and Marner to be on the Leafs next season? And even if they were , 3 guys on that top 6 have zero NHL games played and Drouin has very little so, I wouldn't expect them to be too successful for awhile - obie
Oh no, but it's something to look forward to for the future |

What about Drouin to Dallas? Honka plus a pick or plus Ritchie? |

I really wish the Bruins could somehow get in on Drouin, but I just don't see what they would want. My best guess would be Loui, SJ 1st, Morrow |

A 21st overall for a 3rd overall, where neither player is old enough to have really proven themselves?
Sure, that sounds like a terrible deal |

Jesus Christ... Yzerman should be banned from dealing with Dallas, they do NOT need any more talent in their forward ranks |

Sat during the playoffs because he turns the puck over a lot and one turnover then could mean season over. |

I agree somehwhat as I don't expect Tampa to make a move at all. I think Yzerman tells the young man and his ego maniac agent that has to go play in Syracuse and get better because we are not moving you.
But if they do move him, I can only see it where they make a package deal with Carle of some sort. The Lightning need CAP space and they have to move Carle to do that so a Drouin/Carle package is the only way I see Drouin moving. Better to keep him and his potential even if he is upset unless it helps the CAP space. - stammerman
Cap space is not a issue they will do a standard buyout on carle if they can't move him. They will move drouin at the deadline or this summer. Yzerman will get a 1st and a solid prospect for drouin maybe more. |

I would be surprised if Carle is bought out this year. Thats 1.833MM over four years owed to him. Yes saves 3.6667MM cap but 4 years of that buyout isn't great. And cap space is a huge issue, they are good for next year but its after next year where it gets real tricky going forward. I still say Yzerman tells Drouin go play in the AHL and get better and come back up to the Bolts because right now we are not moving you. |

People really have short memories. Anyone on here saying Yzerman won't get much in return for a highly skilled, low cost, young forward prospect because his agent has revealed they requested a trade seems to have forgotten what he got back for an over the hill Marty St Louis who publicly demanded a trade, to one specific team no less, because he was acting like a whiny petulant child after being rightfully left off the team Canada Olympic roster. - BlueBallz
I hate the pros in the Olympics. These kinds of problems never exist if you eliminate NHL players from the equation. |

Or D... and what I meant is that the habs are most likely searching for some offensive punch they can add to the NHL roster right away |
