It could be much ado about nothing, but it's good to discuss

I'll be back to my normal patient draft and develop tomorrow, but I still think they should trade the Sedins for a franchise dman.

By that standard, why have minor league teams at all?
Any kid coming out of the draft ought to just jump right in, "it's better in the pro's" right?

For example, if we hope to develop Shink into a 1st line scorer, would it not be better playing him as say Daniel Sedin in Utica as opposed to behind him on the second or third line in the NHL?

Patience, why is that such a bloody hard concept for some to understand. Y'all through around 5-7 year rebuild plans yet don't see the benefits of allowing the kids to develop in the AHL for half a (frank)ing year

- Delta-Bravo

It's really simple....I see shink as an upgrade to the Canucks ...that is the team that matters isn't it? I think second line minutes in the nhl would be far better for his development. And one hell of a lot more entertaining to watch compared to Higgins Prust Dorsett etc getting those minutes and boreing me to the point I don't even want to turn the game on or buy a ticket an go see them play.

I've always been of the opinion this is going to take time, at best move out a few veterans per year, I don't see anything different than that happening.

I'd personally like to see them rid themselves of Higgins, Burrows, Weber, Bartkowski and Miller...but certainly not holding my breath.

Anyone that you can move, do it. Most importantly don't re-sign any expiring contracts.

Trying to push some out the door speeds the process , I don't see a guy like Edler or Burrows offer up to waive though.

I'm cheering all steelers and I'm a pats fan. I put 125 bones on steelers to win the show at the start of the year. If they win I get 2850 it was 23 to 1 odds

I'd also consider moving the Sedin's to StL.

Daniel and Henrik (35 years old, $7m)
Hamhuis 33 yr old, $4.5m

for

Alex Pietrangelo (25 years old $6.5m)
Paul Stastny (30 years old $7m)
salary dump??

Van retains salary to make it happen.

(Stastny sucks and would be an anchor salary wise, but Pietrangelo is money).

Yes but it doesn't have to be the Sedins.
