the coach should have played JV with Barzel and not gifted the tourney to Blackwood. JV will be fine with a possession center who allows him to be a banger and shooter |

If your boy Gary wanted us to win we would have won. Instead he and his merry band of idiots and Colin Campbell made a whole bunch of rule changes during the 2011 SCF so your poor Big Bad Broons could win. Feels good hey? Knowing the Broons are under one of gary's tainted cups... - LordHumungous

Does having Hamhuis back make Van a better team? |
|
|
|
Have to like what the Panthers are doing. Injecting top end youth ( high draft picks) .
The difference with their vets is they are still effective ( not talking the twins). They have grit , skill , and leadership.
As I said yesterday for every Oiler failure there are multiple success stories. High end draft talent is much more effective than bubble draft picks.
Austin Mathews. People wonder who will replace Hank in 3 years? I would think he would be a close candidate.
Canucks currently have a team going in one direction. It is time to make the moves for the future. |

I would take any of the top 5 players this year. Got to start looking at the back end though. Lots of great D in this years draft. Better then last years.

I think having Sutter back helps the team. Honestly Hamhuis, Edler, Weber can be replaced by Utica players and won't notice the difference. |

It my need to be this way. Not really a proponent of BPA we have to start filling needs as well not just drafting high...will be interesting to see where Benning goes if we do pick top 6. |

here's to hoping Benning pulls a burke and can draft Liane and Puurjulvi. They are fun to watch. |

I don't think there is high end D in the draft at this time, but that's just my opinion.
I think our current D can hold their own and keep it close.
I still say our biggest problem is high end scoring and secondary scoring. Don't forget the twins are gone in 3 years , you need to start now finding their replacements |

You can pick up a decent D prospect around 30-35 |

The D in the draft this year are better then last years. I've seen Jake Bean play twice now, he's ranked in the lower end of the first round in most drafts. He's good. Reminded me of Hamuis back when Van first signed him. Also second in scoring in the WHL for D |

Only if the forward talent is deep. It's not as deep as last years. |
