Nah hes an easy move, only one year left on his deal at 6 mil. We just need one contenders starter to get hurt and Benning could get a boatload for him - Bullfrog77

If the team struggles, or doesn't advance any further than 10-15 pick overall, will there be media backlash? - Makita
I hope so |

How do you know he didn't talk to the player or have an asst talk to him? it was camp and there was 50+ players to talk to. - A_SteamingLombardi
I would think you make that conversation happen when you've got a giant on defense |

When Hutton out performed all defensive prospects in camp he got all the attention. |

Sedins to Washington (they're about to win a Cup) for…
Kuznetsov, Burakowsky, Bowey & a 2nd round pick and Laich for a cap dump.
Vrbata & Hamhuis to Los Angeles for Kempe & a 1st.

Thank god he did....but that aside , going into the season with flyweights like Tanev, weber and Bartkowski...and you're gm just traded for this giant, wasn't he worth a lil coaching to get over the hump? It's his first go around with the orginization, I know if I were the coach I'd be doing everything in could to include this guy on the back end. |

He likes the Nashville idea, which is ok, but I like Washington because they're good. A little unrealistic on my part, but fun to dream!
It'd be more like Marcus Johansson not Evgeny Kuznetsov... |

Only Boston has won a Stanley Cup of that group though, it again comes down to what you want for a team. A true Cup contender or just a competitive team.
There's a lot of ways to go about winning, but it all starts with drafting. To date, I love Benning's picks, I don't however like any of this player for player trades.
Every team in the cap world that's won a Cup has done so with top picks. And yes Boston had Seguin on their team for the Cup win, semantics I know because he didn't play an extremely important role in the finals but he did in the Tampa series. - LeftCoaster
DOn't forget Washington has 1st overall Ovechkin, Blues have 4th overall PIETRANGELO. ETC |

I don't see the Sedins willing to go anywhere ...until perhaps they decide they are done with the NHL. Then they may be willing to take one last stab at a cup at the trade deadline. |

they are both under 30 and in their primes. My point is that they had to suck to get those picks. Blues sucked in late 2000's and washington in early 2000's |

Druin... is that the proper spelling??? Anyways.... Look how many games he missed during the playoffs.... very reminiscent of Kassian's "Bad Back". How does anyone know he does not have the Kassian Flu? |

Age is meaningless, although he's just turned 30 and is still one of the main ingredients to their team. In a seven year stretch from 2004 to 2010 they also drafted Backstrom 4th overall, Alzner 5th overall, Johansson 24th overall, Kuznetsov 26th overall and John Carlson 27th overall.
That's the core of their team that they've now surrounded, it came from three top five picks and some other good higher draft picks….but it all starts with high draft picks. |

Poor Jakes getting hammered in the print media, Botch is sticking up for him though. People make so much of of a kid not performing well or being emotional at the age of 19.
Team Canada lost because as a whole, they weren't very good, including their goaltending, which was below average. |

I would be happy enough with Austin Mathews and the 2017 first overall |
