Would he? Can Drouin make that shot that Hartnell and Schenn have been able to from within the middle of the box? I'm not seeing a lot of scoring from Drouin at this level yet. It's a tricky shot when G feeds him. - SuperSchennBros
So your worry about trading Schenn for Drouin is about a shot from the middle of the box on the 26th ranked PP?

Aren't they something like 26th in the NHL in PP%?
I actually think Drouin would outscore Schenn right now if he were placed with Giroux and given top PP minutes. - PhillySportsGuy
I don't. |

If you trade B.Schenn and think you have a replacement for him on the PP in Raffl, the Power Play goes back to being irrelevant. Schenn has his issues and even though I think he needs more touching of the puck on the PP, there is no better option in that spot right now. - SuperSchennBros
What if the replacement is Drouin? |

I wouldn't trade Sanheim. I'd consider Simmonds, or Morin. Simmonds is a nice player, he adds sandpaper to a pretty soft lineup, I almost view him as a PP specialist at this point. He isn't scoring at ES (neither is anyone else for that matter). I wasn't expecting a good year out of the Flyers this season, but I'm pretty surprised they are 29th in scoring. Hard to fathom. - PLindbergh31
A lot of guys are either underperforming or simply not matching their past levels in terms of shooting %, despite the team generating chances. It's a bit of an odd season.
I don't know that I'd deal Simmonds in a Drouin deal, because I think Simmonds has more value if you flip him for multiple assets. |

Okay, but they're retaining 50% of Drouin's salary. |

Schenn has scored like 3 goals from that spot all season. Pretty sure they were all deflections too. |

I think Drouin should remain in the minors. I think we'd be trading for a kid who hasn't yet put all his tools together and we would be only removing from our roster. Patience with young players, right? |

Looks like Finaland is about to move on.
I do not believe this, as James Tanner said Sweden would win because having William Nylander=being the best team. |

So far Drouin looks like a dangerous scorer.
It seems to me he needs the development time based on what he's done at the pro level, including scoring. - SuperSchennBros
Based on Points per 60 minutes played, Drouin is already outscoring Schenn. Schenn is getting to play on a top line, seeing play on the top PP unit and being handed favorable zone starts and overall useage.
I really think Drouin could match Schenn's output, and probably improve on it. Schenn has 8 goals. He's hardly in the running for the Richard Trophy |

Maybe we could get Stamkos so they can free up that money for their kids. We'd be helping them really. |

Did you mean the Rocket Richards Trophy, or was this a HB edit about the size of his manhood? |

How good are the Flyers offensively compared to Tampa? Each player we've viewed as a "sure thing" has dipped in offense. |

I don't what the kid's mind is like, but he's so clearly better than any LW the Flyers have, it's actually pretty comical |

Because Drouin already has a 30-point season in limited minutes as a 19-year-old, the Flyers' highest-scoring natural LW has eight points this season and they have nothing in the system to move him down with, the Flyers have Ghost and Provorov, with Morin developing.
It's not rocket science. The Flyers haven't had a scoring LW since JVR got moved, and they desperately need one. Drouin has put up points in the NHL on a team where he likely hates the coach. Sanheim, while a significant prospect, is still in junior and no one knows if he will ever make it.
Again, you don't have to do the deal. But that's what Yzerman is gonna be looking for, around that value range. maybe he does take a B-prospect, but I don't think he will - AllInForFlyers
Oh my a 30 point NHL season! Brayden Schenn who was a 5th overall pick has had a 20 goal and 40+ point seasons and you want to get rid of him. Now Drouin certainly has more potential but that's all it is at this point. It's also not rocket science how important the top defense prospects are to this team moving forward.

Also had a higher Pts/60 than Schenn last season, as well. |

Brayden Schenn just isn't that good. I don't think he'll ever be any better than the 5th or 6th best forward on any team. Drouin has a chance to be one of the two or three best players on a good team. |

Easily the best option we have. |
