I hope when Sutter comes back he plays top line and we move Hansen to Bo and Svens line. - VANTEL
No way...we need to get Vrbata back up there and whip him like a camel to get Atleast another half dozen goals by trade deadline so we can try and pry a first out of someone. |

Very well...if we could just get Columbus and buffalo to quit poopting the bed we'd be snuggled up right beside em in the basement |

I think it's funny that they'd rather lose badly then either make the playoffs or just miss and maybe get lucky with the draw.
Nothing like depleting your roster to the point you aren't competitive anymore. - golfingsince
When your roster is already poop....and not competitive....how is depleting it for different players a bad choice? Maybe their competitive? At the very least we get to see some variety. Not the same ol spoon fed garbage we've been getting for five years now. Which of course has proven itself beyond a shadow of a doubt to not be competitive. |

The tank in Buffalo ad TO was VERY apparent last year almost too much so. Benning runs a much better stealth tank. - LordHumungous

Desjardins is in over his head, his deployment of players in certain situations is baffling at best.
I hope they light-up Lack tonight to help his Sv%
As I've said before, I'm not wired to cheer for them to lose, I want a win every game, but understand missing the playoffs give them a chance at a good draft pick. Hopefully Benning can trim the dead-weight at the TDL. - LeftCoaster
I want them to lose every game by one goal only. Be competitive work your ass off but come up just short. The team can not win as it is. And will not for years without taking a step back and drafting and developing top end talent. I don't want this team to full retard and dump everyone and obviously tank for the bottom. They are bad enough right now that they will get there. Just cut the dead weight that needs to go, free some cap and roster spots and let's get to putting this team on the road to recovery |

This is key for me! When they got their asses handed to them by LA they weren't giving in, the first two periods they had a good compete level, I can most certainly live with that. In the third they were just trying to survive, understandable. |

We need to lose, I don't get people that want them to win, this isn't a championship team, or even a playoff team. We need high end draft picks to succeed long term. The players available 1-6 are high impact franchise type players. McCann, Horvat, Virtanen, Boeser are great players, but no where near the level of the guys available in the draft.
A couple years of losing will do this franchise wonders moving forward. I don't understand those fans wanting a mediocre team. |

It's not often I defend Botch, but his article was perfectly reasonable. It's whatever editor who came up with the headline that deserves a public ball kicking.

There are no 1sts coming for hammer...we missed that boat. 1 time Olympian who barely played a shift there who now plays soft and is injury prone. Be lucky t get a third. - LordHumungous
Sekera went for a 1st and a prospect who was drafted in the 2nd round (Mckeown), just last year and he was a pure rental. I'd say hammer is the better d-man... We should get at least that return |

I get it, I've been around for awhile and understand how it all works. I guess I could explain it that I want them to be competitive every game, I want progress from the young guys.
The loses will come anyways because the veteran presence outside of the twins is so terrible. |

There haven't been too many games that haven't been competitive.
The losses have been mainly by 1 goal, and I can't recall any blowouts other than that kings game. |

Any GM that does that for a 34 year old hamhuis at this point of his career is a complete moron. But it's not like we wouldn't take it...
I just think his value has diminished so much over the past season and a half we will be lucky to get a single 2nd for him and run.
Sekera is 29 and still contributes offensively. Hamhuis is 34 and does not contribute in this way anymore. Hammer may still be better overall purely defensively but that don't matter now at this point.
I could see a 2nd and a salary dump coming back for Hammer...but that's about it. |

Fack tanking. I am against tanking. I just wish that they play to their level and lose to every team above them in the standing (as of last night) and win against every team below them. |

32 year old Erat got Nashville Forsberg.
Capitals could use Hamhuis. Hamhuis for Orlov. |

We aren't technically tanking, but we are losing a lot more than winning. So by having the mentality of wanting to lose, tank nation is actually happy 100% of the time.
We win we are happy because we are Canucks fans. We lose, we are happy because we support the tank.
You guys on the other hand are only happy 30% of the time. Sucks to be you. |

There is a reason people like McPhee, Gillis and Nonuts are no longer employed. Even Sather is no longer a GM. We cant fleece anyone anymore. |
