They kind of made up for it to Russia by giving their captain a misconduct instead of a minor. Russia would have been killing a penalty for the last two minutes... - nucks_94
True dat. I just hate games of this importance being decided by PP's in the final minutes of a game. glad they get to decide it in OT. |

It's real easy, trade some top end wingers for proven defenseman. Asset management...always take BPA. If it isn't a fit for your club you can move him to fill a need. Oilers never got this point - Bullfrog77
It really isn't. If it was easy then all GMs would be doing it and have their needs filled all the time. Maybe 20 years ago my friend but in the cap era making trades where both teams benefit is becoming more and more difficult. Just because a top pick BPA might not be a fit for a certain club doesn't mean you can move him to 29 other teams overnight to get what you want. |

I think they could now easily move RNH for help on the backend. |

Last night was the first must lose game of the year. Losing tomorrow in regulation would just be the cherry on top. Hello top 3 pick.
Matthews
Puljujarvi
Laine
These would be no brainers...
any pick we get after 3 I'd take Chychrun. |

You are wrong on this one. It's Very Very easy to trade top end young talent. Every trade proposal around the league people are all trying to acquire young talent. Established pros with big cap hits, sure tough sell. Nail yakapov at entry level deal....pick your partner easy to do. |

Tkachuk and Nylander bothed looked awesome too!
The finish and russian Dmen both ranked in top 10 would be fine also. |

He looks unreal. You almost wonder if he goes 1st. Id take him and try move him to center. He can really pass the puck. |

With current MNGT yes I's possible but if it's as easy as some think it would be happening all the time...it's not. |

Not many teams if any can afford to deal a top notch Dman you would want coming back. |

respectfully I think we'll have to agree to disagree here on the BPA thing as our mentalities towards it are different. Like I said to Lefty if it was easy then it would be happening all the time...and it just isn't. Sure the Oil now could dump a few young guys for D all in the while they could have drafted D in a few drafts out of the past ten. Then why hasn't Drouin been traded yet? Skinner? Yak? Eberle? So many young desirable talents still remain with their clubs and clubs have needs to fill. Sure it's easy for us all to sit in our chairs at home and dream this stuff up but for gm's to make a lot of this stuff happen in this era is very difficult. Again I don't think you understand...if it was this easy then all GMs would be doing it all the time..just isn't the case. |

you guys have to make everything about the Leafs. You know, he's a good junior player and I'm happy for him.

Looking like some decent forward depth at the top end of the draft, which may allow Chychurn to drop lower, where i imagine we'll realistically end up picking, because, you know...Canucks. |

Jordan Schroeder holds/held the record for most points as an American in world juniors.....
Still thought they were good picks at the time though. |
