Shame shame guys.
Cheering to lose is an epic fail.
Not being upset if we lose because of the higher projected draft pick is not an epic fail.
I will be pumped if we somehow get Mathews but if we win and get in the playoffs I'll be stoked and rub it in the oilers and leafs faces.
We're better then this, if we want Mathews we need to be better then the aforementioned teams and win the lottery(with the first we get by trading Hamhuis and vrabata to Anaheim with Salary retained, yes they still miss).
That's my dream, only losers cheer for losing, the team should always try to win. Losing is just the consolation price! ! |

Cassels coming off that injury is probably what slowed him down. I think he has bottom 6 potential still. Next year will be a make it or break it year. He couldnt work out all summer so ill give him benefit of the doubt. Im really hoping Tryamkin makes his way over next year, I would immediately give him top pairing minutes in Utica and see how things go. - mauryballstein
Tryamkin wont come over to play in utica, he;s already stated that. He has to make the nhl or hes staying in russia.
the pressure is on the canucks to insert him here or very well lose their prospect. I cant recall how high he was drafted now but I dont want to lose him. Every poster here would be blasting JB if that happened too. Enough whining here already so I hope he's here. |

We can hope for them to win individual games but lose for the season...
Unfortunately part of the losing for the season means they have to lose individual games. It's a hard formula to follow but I'm sticking with it. |

Then the (frank)er can stay in Russia that's on him not the nucks. Wtf has he done to deserve being handed an nhl job? |

I'll agree 100% with the losing part for sure. I'm never on board w a tank mentality that has absolutely hobbled other teams like Leafs, oilers, calorlina, sabres.
I am quite puzzled why you think the ducks would want Vrbatta if they are badly out of the playoffs...his contract is up this year. Why would they want to willingly lose assets for him to be a 2 month regular season rental with no chance of PO? That trade makes no sense at all. If you are in line for a #1 pick you keep it....unless the value is high or return, which in this case is pointless. Its like flushing a #1 pick. |

So it's JB's fault if this guy can't make the team? |

We have tried it the other way for years and it has taken us to 22 nd place today. Time to try a different approach. I am hoping for top 5 picks for the next three years and unfortunately that means losing a lot.
For the first person that wants to bring up the Oilers , save it, I will come back with the Lightning Panthers Kings Hawks Pens Caps Minny |

If losing for three years means winning in 5 years. Im on-board.
Wish the Sedins werent a package deal. Because their cap kills anyone who'd be interested in bringing them in for a cup run.
Although I still would much prefer them retiring in Blue and Green.
Tremendous human beings who have done a ton for this city and childrens hospital.

He is a great player. My friends in russia who follow khl say hes the best Dman. He looked great in WJC a few years back. Youtube videos of him look good too.
whether he fits in nhl right away who knows. My stance here is that the canucks have NEVER EVER EVEN ONCE had the chance to draft a D like this thats 6'7 245 skates like brian campbell and reminds you of a young pronger. if it works out We could finally have that player that is so rare and a franchise D. Add pedan and we become a difficult team to face. |

Of all the teams in the Pacific I think that Anaheim had the most potential to go deep(excluding the Queens) they where the favorite to win the cup, I think with the addition of two impact players the would not just reach the playoffs but would go deep as well. |

It's a shame they'll destroy Matthews career aswell. This really should be considered a criminal offense.

What would the Canucks want in return for Hamhuis - in terms of defense or offence upgrades. Sens have some great prospects however Chabot is someone I highly doubt they move so it would like be upfront and maybe a guy like Eglund+
Although with the young forwards coming, I'm guessing it's D right? |

Nobody wants to lose. Well atleast I dont. But realistically you have to accept that its going to happen in this transition phase.
If you know your team isnt going to:
A: Make the playoffs
B: Make a run in the playoffs.
Then all you need to do is be a good fan, accept whats on the ice, not be a bandwagoner and cheer our boys on until better days come along in the future. |
