Very possible it was his wish that he'd go out on his skates for a different team or else he would've just stayed and collected his Flyers paycheck. Also possible he couldn't have been traded UNLESS he agreed to it with his new team

Yeah I guess. It's nice to get out from under that deal. Was holding out hope that Luke would bring back a 2nd, but getting a guarantee that Vinny will be off the books next year is certainly worth downsizing to a 3rd.
