I watched the game at 3 different bars, but I still remember a few things! First, please leave Coots and BSchenn together; second, Ghost's ability to consistently get shots through is fantastic; and third, please sit L Schenn-he was awful last night.
Yeah, first one to come to my mind, too. Carbon copy slapper:

From Bill's blog.
The Habs' fourth shot tied the game. Galchenyuk shook free from Scott Laughton in front of the net and deflected home a point shot by Mark Baberio for his 10th of the season and 14:40. Daniel Carr got the secondary assist. The sequence started with a bad turnover by Luke Schenn and continued with a lucky bounce for Montreal as R.J. Umberger blocked Barberio's initial point shot and the puck went right back to the defenseman on his forehand. - MJL
I also thought Schenn could have attempted a shot block there as well.
Some of those comments he made suggest that he still hasn't accepted the reality. - MJL
I know. Clearly he wants to play in the NHL, and feels that he can. Unless something has changed dramatically in the last 2 months, I disagree. But, if his #1 desire is to play hockey, he has options.

His best option is to terminate his contract... If it's not about money.."cough, cough...BS". then he should have already done this...The Flyers have sent a clear..clear as crystal...message that he no longer fits into their plans.

Actions speak louder than words. If he really wants to play, mutually terminate. In my opinion he can't be traded. Deep down he probably realizes if he dioes that, it's over. Reality is that it's already over.

Exactly. He could terminate the contract with the Flyers and then be free to look for a chance where ever he wants.
But he also has to have something in his mind telling him that that chance might be slim since he is still just sitting here knowing he will likely never see the ice.
It's his choice. Collect the money or look for that last chance.

I think it's more about the free ice his son gets at morning skates

Well, again, it's whether he wants to play pro or play in the NHL. I'm sure the Flyers would give him playing time in LV and he could probably play in Europe. But if he wants to stay in N.A. and/or doesn't like riding the bus, then yeah, terminate.

Yeah, if I'm another team's GM I'm not sold on the whole "my agent and I will make sure those last two years aren't an issue" pitch.

That's what's funny. If he really wanted that chance he would be eager to terminate and move on and be a fa to look wherever for a chance to play. If PLAYING was what was above all else.
Just the fact that Vinny thinks he is a good two way player is comical. - BiggE
If Vinny wants to be traded so badly, can he agree to restructure is contract for the next two years and take less money? If it's really about proving himself or whatever the article said, does the CBA allow him to renegotiate to become more attractive to a team? Obviously no way he would do that without a guaranteed trade in place but the article made it seem like he really wants to be traded and play somewhere. Now does anybody want him, that's the bigger problem....

I disagree. If he really does still want to play I think his best chance is to stay put and wait for an opening here. I don't believe that any other team is willing to take a chance on him at any price.

If I was the Flyers, I wouldn't give him playing time on the Phantoms. What for?

I don't think there is any chance he gets another shot here. One thing that might be on the Flyers mind is that if he gets a serious injury then they are stuck. I don't think you can buyout or terminate an injured player.
