We already have Gagner and MacDonald down there, and that's not ideal. I don't want him down there, and I doubt the Flyers do either. - MJL
You didn't answer my question. Would you rather have Tim Brent, Kevin Goumas, and some 24-year-old whose name I've already forgotten playing in the AHL, or would you prefer VLC playing in one of their spots while getting $950K of cap space? It's not ideal, but neither is his contract/cap hit. Personally, I'd prefer him playing over Tim Brent while saving the Flyers $950K of cap space. I guess you think Tim Brent and Kevin Goumas are critical to the Phantoms' success. |

I watched the game at 3 different bars, but I still remember a few things! First, please leave Coots and BSchenn together; second, Ghost's ability to consistently get shots through is fantastic; and third, please sit L Schenn-he was awful last night. - BiggE
I was in Vegas for a week and didn't visit three bars. |

Isn't there a limit of NHL players on a team in the AHL? - dragonoffrost
I'm not sure, but I think there's a minimum limit of "veterans" for an NHL team. But if there was, I'd swap VLC with either of Gagner/AMac, were it an option. |

Sure I answered the question. Stating I don't want Lecavalier down on the Phantoms is pretty clear. As far as the rest, you can put all the words in my mouth you want. I've stated my position firmly.

Just for lineup purposes, not roster purposes:
Of the 18 skaters (not counting two goaltenders) that teams may dress for a game, at least 13 must be qualified as "development players." Of those 13, 12 must have played in 260 or fewer professional games (including AHL, NHL and European elite leagues), and one must have played in 320 or fewer professional games. All calculations for development status are based on regular-season totals as of the start of the season.

Bill Meltzer: Wrapup: Flyers Take Step in Right Direction, Down Habs 4-3 - bmeltzer
There is no question I would replace Raffl with Read on the second line.
As for Schenn, he's an undersized guy who we've seen hit here and there and because of this, we wanna see it more. What he did last night with the hitting alone, we cannot expect every night. Playing with Couturier, he touches the puck a lot more and included a lot more on dictating the play.
To me, it isn't a shock that he played well next to Couturier last night. He's done it before. They are both young and play on a similar level. Work with this. G is the focus of every line, while most of G's line mates have to be pedestrians. |

If it were an option, which of the two would you want. Please answer, if you would, if you would prefer Option A or Option B were they both possibilities. Please choose which one you think would be most beneficial to the Flyers:
Option A: All 3 of Tim Brent, Kevin Goumas, and Joe Rehkamp in the Phantoms lineup and $0 savings (wrt VLC)on the Flyers cap
Option B: VLC and 2 of Tim Brent, Kevin Goumas, and Joe Rehkamp in the Phantoms lineup and $950K savings (wrt VLC)on the Flyers cap |

The Phantoms could use Vinny for a couple of weeks if he was really interested in an AHL conditioning stint playing 17 minutes a game so other teams could see what he looks like. They have been decimated by injuries up front all season. |

It's irrelevant though. They don't need the cap space this year. |

My thing is that Vinny has a no movement clause. How do we know he wasn't asked if he wanted to go to Lehigh Valley to play and said "Nope". They might have preferred to keep Gagner over Vinny but because Vinny refused to go they sent Gagner.
If it's me, I just keep Vinny where he is until he wants to terminate or someone comes with an offer. I don't put him on the ice in a game for fear of some injury that forces me to place him on injured reserve where I can't do anything with him. |

True.
The Flyers' cap issues are very overblown. |

That was my point. If his true desire was to play, he has options. Unless the Flyers told him they won't play him in the AHL (the point of contention), he has decided to to exercise those options. |

Not sure how to explain it, but when i looked over the goal totals today and saw how few games he played and how much he's outscoring at least two thirds of our forwards, i laughed. |

The cap issues this year and next are overblown. The silver lining is that it doesn't matter because of the crappiness of the current squad.

Option A or Option B? I am sorry if my tiny brain could not decipher your answers to my previous question (I was really looking for a "yes" or "no"), so if you would be so kind as to choose whether you think Option A or Option B would be better for the Flyers, I would appreciate it greatly.
So as not to confuse a simpleton like myself, if you could simply reply with a post consisting entirely of, "I would Choose Option _" (with "_" replaced by your selection of A or B), I would appreciate it. Thank you.. |

Then just terminate! FFS! Nobody is stopping him from terminating! Nobody wants that contract -- how does he still not get that he is going nowhere with that contract in place? - AllInForFlyers
I don't really get why everybody's so pissed off at him.

I'm a flyer a fan, I'm just totally secure in the fact they stink. So when rival fans tell me such i ask, like a fetid dog poop smell or dead boby type of stink? |
