this was murrays kick at getting what he believed was a goalie that could be great. if it doesnt work, so what? - rover16
Tied in with all of his other deals that aren't working out so well, it's more than "so what" to me.
If Darcy made these moves he would be run out of town.
Murray's body of work is adding up, and it's not adding up to much at the moment.

darcy did not make an impact trade after the drury trade in 03 til it was too late
And so far that plus 1 gain has really gotten us no where. - sbroads24
So the team is doomed because after 40 games and the addition of 1 core piece to the roster, they are done.
Gotcha.
Sorry for sensibly thinking this team would be a whopping 4-5 spots higher than they are right now (a difference of 5-6 points on the half season).
Guess standing pat with all those prospects and no addition to the team's core would have been a much better move and this place would be quiet and praising Murray for his lack of moves and trust in prospects to build the future.
if they keep the pick, draft the winger - homiedclown
That is why I make no moves, aside from trading someone like McGinn or Legwand for a pick at the deadline, until I know the draft pick the team has for sure.

No, and no one said it was.
There is always a ton of middle ground that gets flown over on these boards.
Being worried or disappointed does not equate to thinking we are doomed.
I have never once said fire Murray, or trade anyone.
Looking at the complete rosters, I have a feeling the Atlantic Division is going to get rolled. - buffalofan19
