So yes, 19 skaters. Pysyk could come up before the trip is done. I've heard from Bylsma that lehner might stay until the game next Wednesday but someone from the Democrat and Chronicle in Rochester says he doesn't expect Lehner to play or even make the trip to Binghamton on Saturday |

They are. But a conditioning stint means they still count on the NHL roster.
EDIT: Conditioning Loans
A player can be sent to the AHL on a conditioning loan with his consent without having to clear waivers. He can't spend more than 14 days on this conditioning loan though. He'll continue counting against the team's roster and cap limits. He can also be sent on a long term injury/illness exception where he won't count against the roster limit, but he can't be sent on one until he's been hurt for 14 days/6 games. The long-term loan can only last six days or three games, although a team can request an extension to be approved by the commissioner.

I highly doubt he'd be in Chicago tonight, they'd probably have him meet the team in Winnipeg, but who knows. |

In re-thinking the Lehner/Pysyk conditioning assignments, it's possible they were both sent there as part of the long term illness/injury exception, where they wouldn't actually count toward our roster limit. If that's the case, then that frees up 2 additional spots at least through this weekend. |

Seems to have slipped through quietly, but I think it's official that Mike Richards is now on the Capitals.
Did something so bad to have his contract revoked, saving a team a load of cap room, to then just sign as a free agent again... |

It still falls in the category of "conditioning stint" though if you look at the paragraph I posted before. I don't think there's a way for us to know for sure at this point. It's one of those "housekeeping" type things that the fans aren't generally privy to. |

It is official. They were talking about it on NHL Live before the Wild/Flyers game last night on NBCSN. I think LA exploited the fact that he wasn't a choir boy to get out from under the contract. Wouldn't be surprised to see more teams following suit with guys that have big deals that they aren't living up to in the future. |
