I want the goal song on waivers as well - homiedclown
I think we should have a "poster draft."
Gerbe and Cabin are captains. They pick 8 posters each for their team.
Each Sabres game day, Gerbe's team members and Cabin's team members can earn points by getting responses to the posts, by undrafted posters that are "+1" "this" "god post" or
Contest over 60 minutes after Sabres game ends.

AJ Jakubec, TSN 1200 host, said he wasn't surprised that Lemieux was part of a package, as Jakubec was told Lemieux would not sign.
Not surprised to see Brendan Lemieux involved in Kane/Myers blockbuster. His agent (Claude) told the Sabres Brendan wasn't signing in BUF.
— AJ Jakubec (@AJonSports) February 11, 2015
@James_J_Gordon @BlackAcesOtt Don't know the exact reason. Claude just didn't want him playing there.
— AJ Jakubec (@AJonSports) February 11, 2015
Its was reported by people outside the organization. Claude expected Brendan to make the team considering there were spots open for him and when it didnt happen the relationship soured - MCGUIZZY
This all came out post trade. I don't really believe that if the Sabres refused to trade him, he wouldn't have signed and tried to make it work. |

if he is so good, why didn't he sign with the jets so he could make their team this year
smells fishy - homiedclown
I hear you but I think there was a beef between Claude and the sabres.
Claude reacted to the selection with optimism, saying he was happy his son was going somewhere he hadn't played during his 1,215-game career. The four-time Stanley Cup champion even believed Brendan would make the team this season, perhaps hinting at what he thought of the quality of the roster.
"It wouldn't surprise me. He's the kind of kid you know he'll catch on the pace," Claude said at the draft. "He's young, but they've got a lot of open spots."
Brendan failed to crack Buffalo's roster out of training camp and returned to the OHL, where he's performed well with 35 goals (and a team-leading 120 penalty minutes) for the Barrie Colts. It appears his relationship with the Sabres soured somewhere along the way, perhaps due to the team's dismal performance this season."

We are also forgetting about the 3rd moved out for Nuevirth and the 2 2nds move out for Fasching at the previous deadline.
He also acquired the 1st dealt in the Kane trade for Miller.
He's moved out quite a few quality picks. - sbroads24
There were only 4 trades I didn't count (was just trying to find a relevant date with last season to now.
In: 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, Fasching, Deslauriers, Mitchell, Neuvirth, Klesla, Halak, Stewart, Carrier
Out: 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, Miller, Ott, Halak, Moulson, McCormick, McNabb, Parker
Overall picks:
In: 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 5, 7
Out: 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 7
Net loss: 1st, 2nd
Net gain: 3rd, 5th
Rest were a wash |

They didn't "throw" Lemieux into that trade. Winnipeg's biggest stipulation was that he HAD to be part of it. If they weren't getting him, they weren't making the deal. - HonkFortheGoose

yeah if you want to make the club, show a commitment and sign the deal, esp if it's first round money
time IMO could have healed that wound |

Or he knew a lot more about Lemieux and his contract negotiations than we did so decided that if that's what they wanted, they could have him. You have to remember that we don't know all the details and goings-on behind closed doors. We have to work off assumptions, and in many cases, we're probably wrong. |

No I think the old man was shocked/offended that his son didnt make the team out of training camp considering the poor quality of the existing roster/open roster spots avail. I think both were low key not happy about going to buffalo to begin with |
