Note the games played and rookie status.
If he keeps this up, he deserves at-least his 9 game-tryout. Probably best to send him back next year though.
It is a type of Dman we need, who knows ? |

I was talking Subban?
Frankly, I'm higher on him as of this moment over the likes of Bart and certainly Weber.
If Tyramkin is set on coming to N.A only on the condition of NHL play, I'd bring him into training camp, give him his 9 games. If he's a gamer, let him play. If he's so-so but has potential, keep him as a 7-8.
If not, let him go back the KHL or look to trade him for some AHL depth or something.
The pick was always a gamble, I'd rather see what he looks like in a Nucks jersey, even just for a few games as opposed to never bringing him over and losing him for nothing |

Do you see him as part of the future here? - VANTEL
Either he or Tryamkin. If nothing else having a 6'5"+ player in bottom pairing that hits and punishes is valuable. You don't pay a 3rd for a guy and then give up on him before he gets a chance to prove anything. That would be worse asset management than waiving Corrado over Weber. Weber at least would have cleared while we looked at Corrado more. I am not advocating the he was special in any way, just that he deserved more of a chance. D&D. |

Truthfully you may be the only poster on here calling for the return of Weber |

This is my thoughts on the D.
I think Benning trusts Edler and Tanev. He didn't make a play for Hamonic , which some thought was an upgrade.
So returning next year are Edler Tanev Sbisa and Hutton. I don't see him bringing back Hamhuis . His agent has admitted there has not been any talks this year at all.
I think Biega has earned a new contract somewhere between 800k to 1.2 for two years.
That leaves us with three spots. I think Weber will be gone and Pedan will come in at the number 8 playing between Comets and Canucks.
With the remaining two spots , I am not going to suggest Tryamkin because , we don't know how good he is or if he is even going to come over. If it happens it happens.
2 spots left with cap space of 6-9 mil ( Hamhuis , Weber and Cap Increase.) .
I think they will again offer Bartowski a contract of two years between 1.5 to 2.0 . I hope it is 1.5.
With the remaining cap space they could go for a home run with Byf but I don't think they will. I see more of a three year deal to a guy like Coburn Schenn or Benn.
I don't see Benning trying for a quick fix and getting cap committed.
He may offer sheet someone or trade , but I will stick to the traditional ways of building. - VANTEL
Some good points but where you are totaly wrong is it's Cap Space not Cap Increase. Kind of hard to take you seriously. |

I never did, i said we should have waived Weber and seen what could happen with Corrado. Weber should not get a contract to be back. You never actually read other posts, do you? |

He said Cap Space? Where he said increase was from how he determined 6-9 mil in space. |

Where have you been?
When Edler is waived the Canucks get Cap Space for 2 D men. It was covered quite extensively yesterday. |

Waiver or traded? We all know Bullfrog was smoking something yesterday, lets drop that. |

Wonder if Pedan (fellow Russian/speaker) could make a case, though his constant call-ups with very little play and subsequent returns might not aid in the matter. |
