Are you sure? I apparently tend to over value. Wouldn't you want someone who undervalues? - Retinalz
Nope because I can draft Sbisa and trade him for Edler |

Wow, you are absolutely insane to think it is possible. The 7-8 d in this league are making over 1mil and you think you can take Edler's salary and get 2 D for that to play #1 paring? The question is not whether Edler is a 1D paring but on our team he is and if you compare around the league wit the style of play and age the most comparable is Dion Phanuef. Would you rather have Dion at 8miler per or Elder at 6mill per. Better yet, if the Cap and term were same would you rather take Dion or Edler on your team? BTW Edler is a year younger. - Linden_4_Capt
Not going back into this today....go back and read all the posts ...not just one. I never said anything about replacing Edler with two guys to be number ones for his money. I said Edler is bad and not worth his money, I'd happily take 6 league average paid dmen and play them all even minutes. No number 1 or number 4...just 6 d men just defending...defense isn't rocket science. |

What is your guys buy in and rules? I may be interested - Retinalz
No buy in, just bragging rights here.
I'm thinking we do 12 forwards 3 d 1 goalie 2 IR spots.
1 point for goal or assist. 2 for a win. 3 for a shutout.
A guy gets hurt, move him to IR and pick up someone. Trades also allowed.
Depending on how many guys, but this format should work. I hate the pool now because we are forced to have poopty guys on our team. Hockey pools should be about having good players. |

Why would I do that? I'm not one of the guys that hates Edler on this forum. I just think we should trade because he won't be on the team when we are ready to compete again. |

How many on the bench? I also say we add PPP to it to keep it interesting. I hate 1g1a because you can just draft BPA most of the time, makes the draft boring. |

I saw him play when he played against the Victoria Royals back when he was on MH. He was such a one dimensional player it was nuts but he definitely stood out as a powerful fast skater. |

We've been down this road before. A hockey pool should be about drafting best player available. no bench players.
A boring draft would be welcomed compared to what we went through this past season. |

Ahhh,
I try and stay away when the narrative degrades into insanity, i.e waiving the entire team |

Would you put it past Benning to make a trade for him though? He is a former Medicine Hat Tiger being coached by non other than Willie D back in 2010. Him and Hunter Shinkaruk destroyed teams in 2011 scoring a combined 130 goals, 198 points between just them two. He and Linden Vey were the top line in MH the year prior in 2010 when Willie was the Head Coach... I would not be surprised here if there is a trade, it could be with the Canucks given Benning/Willies past with MH players... |

Lol. I think we should keep one of Edler/Hammer to help mentor youth. I would rather trade Edler and keep Hammer as Edler would return huge, we could easily get his replacement in a couple years + more.
Hammer-Tanev
Hutton-Sbisa would be a serviceable(albeit not that great) D core for 2 years until Younger dmen are ready to step in, and we get a few top 5 draft picks. |
