We do have tradable parts, but people don't want to move. Hansen has value to get a high draft pick but no one wants to move him. - VANTEL
At this point I'd move any (frank)er that's over 25, except Markstrom, if the return was there...I think he turns 26 January 31st?
Edit: I do believe you need veterans around, but good ones, not Higgins & Burrows. |

I am a fan of Hansen. Have been for years but I would trade him if I could get a first.
With two firsts you could move up in the draft |

I could get on board with that.
2 more years at 2.5 is great value.
but he's 29...so i take your point, he is likely peaking now.

He is one of the easiest players to move for a good return. It won't cripple the team. I would only do it for a first rounder though top 33 pick |

I just went through the UFA list for Canucks for next year. I would only bring back Biega.
I don't mind Bartowski but not at 1.75. I would look for a replacement for Cracknell and Prust. See if you can upgrade.
The rest adios |

Not tanking, strategically losing. Yes I would rather miss the playoffs if the Vets drive the bus, because they all jump off in the playoffs. Why bother? If the kids drive the bus, maybe they stay in the drivers seat all playoffs long. - Retinalz

Backes is an A Hole
Good , but still an A hole.
I see Hanks work ethic in Bo. I see a bit of Bertuzzi in his power moves. I see a small bit of Toews in his drive to the net , and I see a little flash and dash of Datsyuk with his few dangles.
Don't get me wrong , he is no where near as talented as the mentioned but that's the parts of his game that stands out. He does it all. - VANTEL
Backes is an overrated, underachieving, classless player. I don't know why people don't see that he's a playoff choker as well. So happy StL match when offer-sheeted.

Too bad the Canucks did with Kesler...
Wait, the blues didn't offer sheet Kesler, that was Philly. Ohlund was Toronto. It was Bernier |

So Shink made the all star team. Where does anyone envision him playing on the Canucks roster? |

He might get there...but i don't like handing kids the keys.
I feel he should earn it a bit, prove himself before he get's the top 6 minutes. |

I would not bring both back.
Try to package one or the other at TDL.
They are too similar imo. |

I'm talking playoffs (insert Jim Mora picture here).
I can post some dazzling Luongo stats to overwhelm the reader but that doesn't exclude the fact the Backes has lead a stacked team nowhere in the playoffs. And StL traded Oshie for those sins? Terrible choice.
Hey, it's the same knock on many a canuck player so it goes both ways.
Remember this?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xih29K5NL5s
He's a jerk. Loses his cool all the time. Costs his team in crucial moments. Terrible captain. |

Benning gave up 2 seconds for them, I think Skink gets traded before them |
