That's not what Wilde said. He said Habs are actively pursuing but there was no reference as to whom was offered. Fans speculation was those players. Another rumour qas Beaulieu and a prospect. All speculation - willey101

First, I highly doubt the Blues were in on Johansen, because if they were offering up Shattenkirk, there's no way Columbus would've turned them down in favor of Jones. I don't think any team in the league would currently take Jones over Shattenkirk.
Second, while it's entirely possible the Blues are in on Stamkos or Drouin, or both, I think it's a bad idea. Chances are, Stamkos signs with Toronto as soon as he's free; and while Drouin has potential, I haven't seen anything that makes me believe he's a #1 center, much less the one the Blues are looking for.
I think Edmonton is a good dance partner regardless. If the Blues are offering up Shattenkirk, it aught to be for someone like Nuge. If they're offering up Pietrangelo, he better be part of a package for Draisaitl and Nurse. - RobShouts

Gotta love Stevie. I know he fleeced the Rangers for MSL but take it easy Steve-o. You aren't getting two firsts, a top forward prospect and top d prospect for a 20 year old who has hardly lit the NHL on fire and hasn't even impressed his own team which is why he's in the AHL. Hayes+2016/17 1ST RD PICK+ if they don't want Yandle. But hey lightning fans, stop laughing at KY like he's garbage, far from it. Stamkos is walking to TOR for a 20 mill a year deal so sell well my friends . - Anthony5967
I agree with all...except that he will not sign in TO for ridiculous money....he will sign on TO for a lot less than most think because he wants to be a Leaf. |

I think the max under the cap is 15m a year is what I thought I heard. I heard he may sign for the max, that is dumb if a team offers that. |

I think about 99% of players that ask to be traded are fairly disgruntled...wouldn't you?

Gotta even wonder too which teams have submitted offers and if they even plan on dealing him now. Heard a rumored COLORADO deal of Rantanen and Zadorov. I thought I saw MTL sent an offer too but it would in my opinion take a ton for a division rival to acquire him. Rangers according to Ek and others offered Yandle+F prospect, gotta think it was Buchnevich. Can't wait to see what the Tampa genius does with the youngster. Maybe he will have a bad AHL stay down there and the value will drop. |

I feel like there's a sarcastic undertone there, but he's actually done a great job. |

Has he? I think he gets a bit too much credit, IMO. He inherited Stammer and Hedman, and without them, they're not very good.
I do like most of his trades tho, and he has done well developing players, so no hate here....but he isn't Dale Tallon or Dean Lombardi. |

He has done a good job but he believes that every deal he makes he dictates the return. I know he holds the cards with Drouin but I mean the return sounds ridiculous. I respect Yzerman a whole lot, same thing with Stamkos, they want a mega return for him too? If so why are TBL fans laughing at a Yandle return? If they keep Stamkos they're obviously trying one more shot at a cup, how would Yandle at 2.6 cap hit be laughable for Drouin. Yandle+ 1stRD isn't enough? Why can't they bring Yandle back anyway? Figure he gets 6 million fine. You're letting Stammer go after all and you have enough Young forwards to have like four in the bottom six. |

Depends how much of a problem Drouin not wanting to be there is. I can't blame him for not being in a rush to move a high end prospect. If they're fine not moving him just to move him then, might as well wait until they get the player/deal they want. |

And you would think something like this would cause a team distraction, I mean the team is struggling too. They have the Stamkos drama and now this with a 20 year old. Sounds to me like they buried him down in the AHL to keep him and his drama away from the team. |

Drouin is worth about as much as Nail Yakupov. That is all. |

The kid has high end talent but he hasn't blown anybody away . And they keep mentioning Seguin. Seguin was already a boss at 20. This kid is in the AHL now that's how good the team thinks he is right now. So until he actually shows he's capable of reaching his ceiling it's all potential . That's why the TBL fans laughing at all these rumors like they're not good enough they really have some nerve. |

Exactly. I just find it funny that Nail Yakupov was a 19 year old bust 2 years ago, and worthless, and Drouin is some sort of can't miss talent worth a Bundle.
In fact, Yak > Drouin |
