I certainly don't want the young man to be injured, but injuries do happen in the sport. You don't want his development stunted, obviously, and we all don't want the injury to be severe, but if it is, we just have to hope for the best in recovery.

I mean, he did look pretty much great this season, coming off the ACL rehab. So even if it is bad news, we can't really say that he can't be effective after a rehab, since we know that it is possible

A source told CSNPhilly.com that Ghost appeared “fine” on the plane ride home from Minnesota.



Gostisbehere took a knee-on-knee hit from Mikko Koivu late in the first period. Fortunately, the hit was to his good knee — right — not the left knee in which he tore his ACL last season as a Phantom.



Gostisbehere returned to Thursday's game for two shifts in the second period before leaving. He played 7:31. Given he came back, the assumption is a bruised knee or mild sprain.
