Are they contemplating any moves?
- Sabresfan-365

Honestly,I will find out. I have to be honest,I am in the same place I have been in the last three years . I don't care. The bills and sabres are a train wreck. Doug whaley laughs to the bills reporters ,you DONT need to work around free agency, the bills won't make any moves. Hey doug because you are an moron. We over pay for a lot of junk. He thinks it is play station . Tim murray right now is the same. Kane and Bogosian trade, horrible. Lehner trade horrible. Signing moulson, keeping leggwand, paying Gionta, we have no goalie ,they are a mess.
The sabres don't have a lot of can't miss younger players. We like to as buffalo fans overvalue our players, but they don't hav a lot of talent in the organization. We might have a mini bills run of several more years of no playoffs

Don't think so. Isn't the draft in Buffalo? They are keeping that pick.

What's frustrating is they miss the net and don't hit.

Just like New Jersey did? You know what's better than making a pick in your city? Making a big trade.

If you're going to tank..

tank in style

- gerbe75pts

That was not a team tanking . They played a great hockey team tough in their building . The Hawks know they were in a game. Not like those teams under Ted Nolan. They are going to start getting bounces at some point .

Might serve them better long term anyways. Get a guy who is established to help turn things around rather than wait on a maybe. Of course, this is assuming they don't draft top 3, if they are then things get trickier.

Can't fault you. I ask because last 2 years the mandate was pretty obvious and a lot of the moves you could see coming. Right now im not sure what the approach is anymore. Do you cut your losses, take the hit and try to recover some assets and then look for a different upgrade. Or do you stick with what you've got and see if you can pull off a shrewd move or two to turn things around.

Read last post. Plus I said, they could trade it not that they would. Obviously it's less likely they get an offer they like for say 4th or 5th overall vs New Jersey at 9th but for the right player you'd have to seriously consider it.

We gave up a lot of our younger talent and the stockpile of draft picks. The Sabres don't have alotof assets. That 21st pick traded for lehner could of been used as part of a bigger package. We gave up a boat load to Winnipeg for two often injured ,over valued hockey players. Regardless if it was a tank, the only great trade had been Oreilly and for as good as he is, we still down the road, might hate that trade. Johnson for technically neuvrith and halak. The miller tarde really only got us a first. Carrier might never make it,stewart gone, halak traded.tim murray needs to get off the bar stool every night and become sober. This team is in disarray and we don't havalot to of prized young players

Yeah, they were one horribly out of position Chad Johnson non-save away from OT. And how many times has that happened this year? I can think of 3 right off the top of my head. Tonight, last week against the Red Wings, the game in Calgary and another couple of times I can't pinpoint at the moment.

The main benefit of the Winnipeg trade was that Kane couldn't play. And that still remains. Think about that.

Before last years draft, I don't think any GM ever had a combination of prospects, picks, cap room and an owner anxious and willing to spend money as GMTM had. He squandered that poop quick.

In fairness, if it wasn't for him this could have been a blow out. They were dominated from the 2nd period onwards.

Why so we could lose in OT or the Shootout? Which one is your preference? We don't score. They had a few horrible shifts leading up to that goal. O'Reilly's line is the only competent, professional forward line we have.

I agree, tim Murray left us with very bare cupboards. If Eichel and reinhart become good to very good hockey players, we will have another 5 to 7 bad years. If they don't become great, we are in big trouble besides those two andmaybe 55. We don't have one potential superstar in our organization. How does chicago and detroit keep drafting very good hockey players where they pick. Tim Murray might get fired within 18 months,my prediction

Girgensons has done nothing this year,he has regressed. Foligno is useless. Johan larssons couldn't score in Kane's penthouse with 10 hookers. Leggwand ,moulson, deslauriers,Gionta, kane this team is a mess

I wouldn't say it's that extreme. It's not a bare cupboards issue. A lot of young guys in Rochester and elsewhere still. It's all the (frank)ing dead weight on this team. 3/4 don't score ever.
