What are your thoughts of trading Edler and playing Weber and Bart for 20 mins a game?
- Linden_4_Capt

That is a VERY good defensive tandem that will ensure 30th overall finishes for years to come! instant contender for the next Oilers.

Do you think it is very likely that Burrows goes on a bit of run if Hansen is injured for awhile?
- belcherbd

2-3 goals maybe I don't see more than that. Alex is getting old.

Yeah, its odd, its like he skating into a 100mph headwind all the time.

I never saw him play with the Ducks, but from what I have seen with the Rangers this year, he has been pretty awful.

If he could have been sent to the AHL without clearing waivers, I have no doubt he would have been there long ago.

I'd be really weary of a player if AV isn't able to get him going. There are many knocks on AV but he gets the most out of his players. Always has. I can't think of one AV cast-off that's gone on to have a great success elsewhere. Grabner maybe...

If AV has given up on Etem then I would think that's a good sign to stay away.

I agree he was quite good in a momentum building role. Plus he can hit.

If Burrows can't find success with the Sedins, hasn't found much of it in a bottom 9 role, what is his value to another club?

I hope he can get going.

He has 6 goals 10 PTs in 23 playoff games. That would be like 4 th highest on Canucks

I not pushing for the guy but if we can get rid of Higgins or Burrows then welcome aboard

Agreed, though Ian wasn't necessarily great at reporting quality, he did bring the best out of the "community".

So Bob Mac was hinting around yesterday that CBJ were going after Mathews to replace Johansen.

Was just pointing out with Bonino, players have success, leave that club and sometimes is a struggle to get going and find chemistry and success on a new club.

If you are having trouble moving certain players because there is no demand and are then able to move them and get a prospect, it has to be worth some consideration.

The thing I am guessing with JB is he targets players, we have seen a few players pass through waivers that might have been worth a move but he didn't blink. Just as he targeted Sutter, he wants certain players...

I don't think JB has any interest in bringing guys in that he may have had little to no interest in previously. If a player isn't on JB's wish list and they become available, a possible upgrade or not, I think he would prefer the status quo over something that wasn't in his original plans.

I wonder what they would offer to move up in the draft if they don't win the lottery? Also, i hope not. Torts would ruin his career because he doesn't block enough shots.

Davidson is one smart cookie. He traded a 2nd for a guaranteed top 5 pick. Then he traded a #1 center for #1D and closing in Franchise #1 center. If he wins the lottery he will dump Torts in the offseason. If they don't and Davidson will keep Torts for another season for 2nd shot at 1OA.

If I remember correctly Etem was one of the names brought up constantly in the Kesler trade. Maybe Jim has a thing for him
