Impossible. He's a former Tiger. Etem-Vey-Dorsett is Willie's wet dream and they'll be playing 15+ minutes at even strength and double shifted when down a goal

I like the deals that Benning has done like this with Vey and Baertschi. They're low risk moves. This one is even lower risk than the others, which were basically just cashing in 2nd rounders and skipping 3-5 years of development time.

I don't know enough about Etem's defensive game but there stands plenty of reason to believe he can provide more than Higgins simply by the fact his wheels are still working.

I really like this move. If Etem is as bad as everyone says he is, it will give us a new whipping boy once Higgins is gone. Keep the HB crowd talking

I think its only Bo and Hutton that are waiver exempt. Virtanen and McCann are I guess because they just go back straight to Junior.

I'd be quite glad to see Vrbata and Higgins trades. Wonder about Hamhuis if a team has looked at the Canucks D since he left and gone "Wow you guys are awful without him" and Benning is like "... yeah. without him. right." and some team forks out a decent enough package like Pittsburgh or Florida

If they're keeping JV to teach him how to be a pro and play within the system they're building then there are only so many options. If ownership wants the playoffs, Chris Higgins and his 2.5M have to get buried in Utica.

Gillis would have kept Jensen just in case he realized his potential and would have signed him to an extension. Ala Shroeder.

Yep. I have a hard time watching many of these cable or internet series if I don't binge watch, and get into a show. If it isn't regular season Blacklist trashy regular cable stuff, I lose track watching week to week.
