Yeah Benning is keeping his draft picks so he can offer sheet Morgan Reilly
- VANTEL

Never, EVER, offersheet busts. Plus, if you are intentionally tanking like Vancouver, it's best to keep draft picks.

As long as JB is making moves, i'm happy. I'd rather trade crap for our own crap in hopes that the new crap turns into a pot of gold.

They're going to be 2017 compensation picks and a backloaded 6-yr $39M contract will cost a 1st, 2nd and 3rd or completely handcuff TML rebuild.

What is certain is we're not getting 2016 CBJ 2nd for torts.

- Max.Betts

How? They're in a great cap spot and can easily handle a 6.5mil hit

The only thing it could affect is the number of bad contracts from other teams for draft picks they can take on

So according to general fanager, we've got a serious cap problem when Sutter/Hamhuis is ready to come back.

Who goes for less than we can get at the deadline or do we pull a Nancy Kerrigan on Ryan Miller after practice one day?

Even if we didn't get Mathews how nice would it be to get Laine or Puljujarvi

I believe fantastic wouldn't be too overstated.

It makes me so sad overtime Van wins a game right now. Sitting 22nd in the league, when the rest of the teams catch up in games played, could be sitting 27th. Top 5 pick in this draft would be sweet.

Rest the Sedins for next season, play the kids as much as possible to get them experience. TANK TANK TANK TANK TANK WOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH. Cheers to the fricken weekend gents!

Gotcha. When you get him first thing to do is learn how to spell his surname. It's caused a lot of misery for some Leafs fans who don't seem to get it.

We will be fine. Have you noticed that every injured player we have is on Day to Day and not LTIR? I believe the CBA allows for ateam to put a player on LTIR if they missed more then 10 games. The cap is prorated. When we put Hammer and Sbisa in LTIR plus other players we will get the space we need.

If Cherry can go on for years calling our players Lulongo and Bieska,I can call him Reilly

Willie will play him 2 mins then bench him for Prust and Dorsett.
- Linden_4_Capt
but ...if we score first and stay ahead..he could get 18 mins a night. Don't want to dull Dorsett and prusts edge if you don't have too

But Cherry is ignorant and from Ontario. You (I assume) would be calling a player on the team you follow, from the same province as you, the wrong name.

Either way, I think the Leafs would seriously consider not matching if a 1st, 2nd and 3rd were involved from the Nucks.

Wonder how much Higgins out the door alleviates it.

I wonder if Biega means Weber goes, or if they'll use Huttons ability to go straight to the AHL until they sort it out.

Prust is another option. Some team probably looks at him worth a 6th rounder.

Also the Canucks haven't been close enough to the cap to put Hamhuis on LTIR and they could do so retroactively which could open a ton of space up with the weird prorating.
