Unless your Lefty, you like it. a 6th and a player headed for Europe for a player who has 3rd line production is worth it. - Retinalz
It's not that I don't like it, per say, it's that I don't like the trend of him always putting draft picks in from our side. I know it's only a 6th rounder, but still, it's the trend that annoys me. |

Sand in your Vagina and menopause are not the same thing. - thundachunk
I've had some health issues, which ended up being my gallbladder was infected and twice the size it was suppose to be and it was poisoning my system, AND, they discovered a hernia on my right side, which was contributing to the severe abdominal pain.
Operations are on the way, in the mean time medication is helping.
Also…..I start work again on January 18th….so I should be back to normal soon'ish |

How about Alex Ovechkin hey, the guy is about to score 500 goals, he's played 800 games. Wayne Gretzky was the fastest to accomplish it, it took him 575 games in an era where goaltending was no where near what it is today. Mario was second, it took him 605 games. Mike Bossy was third, took him 647 games.
Of the 42 players to score at least 500 goals in their career, 17 reached the mark in fewer than 1000 career games played. What an incredible accomplishment in todays game!!
All-time goals / game (min. 400 games)
1. Bossy = 0.762
2. Lemieux = 0.754
3. Ovechkin = 0.623
4. Bure = 0.623
5. Gretzky = 0.601 |

He was probably honest about kassian being a train wreck with Montreal . That kass was likely gonna washout. He dropped him for basically a serviceable nhler and a 6th. Kass did wash out, which is why Montreal asked for the pick so they got some value for Prust. Same scenario here Jensen is a wash. Going back to Europe likely soo Rangers don't want to loose Etem for nothing. So a throw in six for a suitable ready now player. |

Glad we got Etem . No risk no expectations. Everything is a bonus.
-VANTEL
My favourite part of this deal is the lowered expectations. I think JB was smart in just focussing on his physical attributes when commenting what he will bring to the team. With Sven, he said he could be a top 6 winger and people were hard on him from the start. Etem at worst case looks like he can be that 3rd line winger that brings speed and contributes some offence.
I do hope they look at a Sven-Bo-Etem line in the future, I think that could be a good mix of speed, size and skill |

So what's your alternative? Jensen for Etem wouldn't work. Shink for Etem? Gaunce? What would you have done in Bennings shoes? Nothing if it had to involve a precious 6h rounder? |

Probably tried to make it a bigger deal, be nice to see him win a player trade without any picks involved. The Rangers are in a window of "win now", I'd probably have tried to give them a veteran, that AV knows and could use, for a pick instead of giving one away. |

I see it as good asset management, Jensen was gone to Europe after his contract was up. He is considered sunk costs, so you traded a 6th round pick for a young NHL ready forward that has the physical tools you need and is young enough to blossom into a scorer. The combined probability of success for both the 6th rounder and Jensen in the NHL are likely lower than Etem at this point. This is a JB move, acquiring developed youth, speeding up the rebuild/tool |

I didn't know Vantels split personality was young. Must be awkward in social situations. |

He gave up a second rounder for a second line young winger. That seems to me like a win. I also believe he won the Kesler trade and the Sutter trade.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I think he is doing ok |

I agree, his drafting and trades I cant complain about, i just hope we draft another goalie so were not putting all our eggs in the Demko basket (although he will be good) |

Kesler was on fire against the Blues. Beast mode again. Best player on the Ducks this season. |
