He's been playing like this all season, minus the points. He showed many glimmers last year of his offense coming around to match his defense. He did in the World Championships. It's why a lot of us 14 fans were excited to see him with better linemates.

This season, he has been playing lights out possession wise since the get go. But his line couldn't buy a goal, even though they did everything right. The stretch after his concussion, 9 games or so, he didn't record a point -- yet the 24-14-17 line was the best line just about each night. Now? Regression. He's finally scoring, showing good play begets points. Eventually. His pace is not sustainable for him most likely, however. The points will come and go, but his play has never slipped all season. When a bad points stretch happens, hopefully all the people who only judge a player by points see that his play right now is no different than in that 9 game drought...and probably the next drought.

Wow Coots is playing like a monster the last few games and the chemistry with B.Schenn is very exciting.

Great to see those two get rewarded on the point sheet as of late.
