With what Gostisbehere has added to the team, Byfuglien just doesn't make any sense. Not to mention his questionable fitness level. That weight is going to catch up to him at some point. |

That game should cost Lewis his job, he has no control over his players and can't win a big game to save his life. - BiggE
It's 2 players who are major head cases . Jones and Burfict. The fumble didn't help either. Just an ugly loss |

That game was horrible in all respects. Sloppily played, poorly officiated, Lewis had no control over his idiot players. Even the announcers sucked. |

The officiating was suspect. Bernard got knocked out with a head shot... No call.
But they called 2 on the Bengals

Yzerman's comments on Drouin very interesting. If we could pull it off without moving any of Provorov, Ghost, Konecny or roster guys like G, Jake, Coots I think I would be all in for it. Maybe something like our 1st with top three protection and Sanhiem or BSchenn and later picks. Maybe they have an unsavory expiring contract we could take on too to entice them. |

I am not offering a 1st rounder. Especially if they demand Sanheim or Morin. |

Yeah the non call on Bernard was awful.
I'm kind of surprised Marvin Lewis didn;t get fired last night. |

not to mention joey porter on the field during a stoppage talking poop, goading pacman into a penalty. porter should have been flagged |

My thinking is they'll still end up moving Streit for a 1st and with the multiple twos and threes they could conceivably still get themselves into a decent position to draft a replacement for Sanhiem in the prospect pool. Albeit it would reset development time. |

I'm not sold that they move Streit, even with the potential return. |

F Yzerman....I'm not offering anything close to that...I can see the Flyers offering up Sanheim but I can't say I'd be thrilled with that either....gotta give something to get ..true, but I keep going back to the Drouin that showed up at WJCS ...wasn't overly impressed. I'm just not sold on Drouin, I guess. |

I recall him wanting 7 years/$50mm.
Given Byfuglien's size and propensity for showing up to camp in less than stellar shape, there's no way I give a guy his age a deal longer than 3-4 years and even that long bugs me. - Jsaquella
My concern on Buff is the same...Stick to the plan Hexy....if you want him, wait till July 1rst...even then tread carefully. |

Even then, at his age, if he's demanding 7 years, it's potentially another Vinny or Umberger situation. Hexy just dealt with one, and Byfuglien's a big guy who plays physical and they tend to break down sooner-even without the weight/conditioning concerns with Byfuglien.
I'm more worried about knee or back injuries because of the weight in his case than conditioning. Being that big usually has consequences on lower joints. |

Way, way too much. Why not keep a top pick and use it, while keeping the other players. Drouin has not shown any signs of being worth a package like that in his time in the NHL. What are you basing it on, that he's worth that kind of haul?

He doesn't play 30 minutes a game. I think his weight is cause for concern in the future.
