We have Edler Biega Sbisa Hutton and Pedan on the left. I don't think they need another one.
I left out Bartowski.
We need to work on the RH side - VANTEL
Perhaps the lack of RHD is another reason for the D being a gong show....LHD always being played as a RHD |

Am i alone in thinking we have no business pursuing Stamkos at this point in his career and this point in the rebuild??
I would be quite happy to take a run at Lucic in the offseason and/or Buff.
Seems a much better fit and (slightly) more reasonable. - dbot
No sir you are not ! |

way to trade higgins is to force him in with a package.
AV has positive past memories of higgins....perhaps that would be a good destination.

I dont think we need to target any UFA forwards but solely RHD.
OUR issues are mainly D. People talk about rebuild, this is the primary area to rebuild in. WE have depth and prospects at forward, little at D.
Build a strong D 1st then tweak rest of team afterwards
this is the strenth of teams like hawks, nash, minny, and (previously) bruins
doubt we'd draft 6 RHD....and they wouldnt be ready anyways. So we'd need UFA RHD |

Stamkos>>>>>!!!>>Lucic
Lucic is wearing down fast, and he's glacially slow. If Stamkos does end up here (doubt it) and you have Stamkos/Sedin/Horvat down the middle, that looks pretty good.
Buff is a bit different, but I don't think he'll fit well here with what JB wants to go after, and the money he's going to command is going to be more handcuffing long-term than Stamkos I think. - NewYorkNuck

If we buy burrows out we onoy eat about 1.5 prr for 2 years. The 3 mil savings would pay for most of the wage increases on our rfa players.
EDIT possibly even all and some ufa wage increases. |

In an ideal world yes...but given his age he'd either want a short fat contract or longer deal.
maybe
3 years x 8.5
or
6 years x 7 |
