While I'm not as pissed at Gerbe I think this a pretty nepotism move and not based on any real results. Rob hasn't been a good coordinator in a while. He's had maybe two good seasons as a D coordinator. Weather Thurman had a large stake in our D's poor play this year or it was mostly Rex I was hoping we'd ditch Thurman and certainly not hire Rob and bring back Pettine. But obviously that isn't happening now... Hope Rex knows what he's doing.

No I just watched his tire fire defense on the Dallas Cowboys
Then watched him rewrite the history books this year the most touchdowns allowed ever by a defense
last four years he's had the worst defense in the NFL

I've never once seen a goal get reviewed because of a possible offsides other than this year when a team challenges it.

yes goose, someone posted yesterday about it. Similar to the nfl, the nhl has a rule when its under a minute the review comes from "upstairs."

I have enough drama in my life trying to run a company. I look to my local franchises to escape and enjoy the games not to get so involved that effects my life. Life is too short . Why do a great number of Buffalo sports fans just look for drama and something to whine about? I will leave the running of the teams to those that are paid to do so .

And you don't give a guy the title "Assistant Head Coach/Defense" simply to be a position coach. Fact of the matter is, Rob Ryan is going to have a lot more say in the defense than a good team should give him.
