Yup, so keep drafting them. - sbroads24
they'll take one this year at some point...they have other pressing needs like linebacker, guard...maybe safety and/or a fast wideout |

IMO they should draft one every year in one of the first 5 rounds, until they get it right with 2 on the roster
the levi browns will never cut it in the nfl

draft a tackle if they resign incognito, otherwise a guard
draft a qb
every other pick needs to be d men IMO |

they reached for ej when they could've kept fitz as a placeholder while they built the rest of the team |

I think they'll go lb or d-line in the first round...their lb's were pretty weak this year |

I agree, first time in a while i really wanted the win for bragging rights. Sam got knocked around all game and to see him stick it out was great.
Also for all the slack Gorges go last year i think he been our most underrated player. He's never been a points guy but what hes done for risto is huge. - yen6d1
I agree, but right now Risto might be playing the worst hockey of his career.
He was a tire fire yesterday. Actually all of the defense was again. It's becoming turnover city |

I agree, I thought this would come sooner actually.
We've seen it with all the young guys this year, a 10 game stretch where they fall into the motions |

Lehner with Sabres-esque support in Rochester last night. 20 saves on 22 shots (.909 Save%) in a 2-1 loss |

I'm of the mindset that you don't necessarily need goal scoring to be entertaining. You need more scoring chances. A 2-1 game can be very entertaining if there is end to end action and teams have chances to score. The emphasis on blocking shots, I think, has hurt the game more than people realize. You can complain about the trap, obstruction, and what have you all you want, but the good teams figure out a way to get around all that. The problem is it's simply too tough to get beyond shooting lanes. Ironically, the Sabres seem to be pretty bad at it. - buffalofan19
I hear what you are saying, and while I understand this is not how the country in general, and the NHL, works, but for once, couldn't they actually fix the problems that are causing the entertainment value to be dropped instead of teams having to create a work around?
It just seems like it's always about creating a work around instead of addressing and correcting the real issues. |

So what about Girgensons, 2nd rounder (2016, Sabres), Larsson for Drouin and a salary dump player?
Both players are RFA so Tampa can at least pay them less, but have NHL ready players. |
