Maybe not you directly , I said a few weeks back don't go after Chychrun with a top 5 draft pick . I said his value is dropping and he is not in the same class as Ekblad Jones |

No chance he is worth a top 10 pick. This guy has gormley written all over him. Hasnt done anything id prefer to get a 1st for hamhuis. - mauryballstein

Out of curiosity do have someone in mind that you want the Canucks to target in the UFAs? |

During a rebuild we don't need top 6, we have the vets I would want to teacher the youngsters in the Sedins. No one interests me, I would be targeting Johansen when his contract is up after next year. I'm with Lefty about draft and develop from within. |

I feel the same way. Id prefer to wait and see what we have next season and then go from there. If our defesne wasnt so bad i would be looking at stamkos but at this point i think we are still just to far away. |

Yeah we are way to far away to bring in any high end talent, plus we have 14 mil tired up in so called high end talent now. |

My best guess (in a dream world where best player plays) for 2017/2018s roster, not including future signings, and given we get rid of all of our pending UFAs
Dank-Hank-Sutter
Baertschi-Horvat-Hansen
Shinkaruk-McCann-Etem
Gaunce- Vey- Virtanen
Depth forwards: Cassels, Grenier, Cracknell, Dorsett
Tanev- Edler
Hutton-Sbisa
Beige- Bartkowski
Depth D men: Pedan, subban? (where's he at in his development? it would be nice to see him get a game or 3)
Markstrom
Miller
While I love the potential in that forward group for the next 5 years (not to mention other random pieces that could work out ie. Cassels, Grenier, Kenins etc).
But the defense is concerning, I hope we sign hamhuis for like 2 years @ 2m aav (for the hopes he can get it back and become a good 3rd pairing till retirement). Our first round pick really needs to go to a defensemen this year (maybe one of the fins from WJC if we are in that 15-20 spot?)
What are the canucks options for defensemen in the summer? (both drafting and trade/FA signing) thoughts? It really needs to be addressed. we have too many forwards as it is, id rather the extra salary, and trade values to a substantial top 4 d man (even just a guy that goes well with hutton0 |

I doubt Stamkos leaves Tampa to join our 're-load'. We're several season away and his contract wouldn't help get that sped up. I'll look to see him light up the East somewhere. |

I feel mostly the same Hansen Bo Sven Danny Hank and Sutter for the next two years. I would look at TDL next year about moving the twins but wait and see.
I hope Jake Etem and Vey or JM can find chemistry
The D can be improved but not Byf at 6 + years. |

His contract will be a boat anchor in a couple years and you know someone will cough up max term at like 6 per to get him |
