It is nice to have 15-20 mil in Cap Space but how do you use it?
If Bo and Sven are truely developing into a second line then how do you fill the top 6?
You have Hansen Sutter who would be considered to 6 , plus Bo and Sven , and the twins. That is why going after Stamkos makes no sense unless you are moving the twins.
You can go after Byf who is the top Dman on the UFA card but do you want to take a chance on a guy that could walk into training camp at 330 lbs?
That doesn't even begin to touch the issue you have Shink and Gaunce on the farm waiting.
I think this team is very much ready to say goodbye to Hamhuis Vrbata Burrows and Higgins. - VANTEL
As leverage to acquire additional picks or assets via taking on some shorter bad contracts? |

tanev - edler
hutton - zietsev
biega - pedan
sbisa - mauryballstein
ZIETSEV i forgot about him, whats the word on that guy? Still interested in Van? Very interesting! especially if we can just scoop him up with our excess cap |

I feel mostly the same Hansen Bo Sven Danny Hank and Sutter for the next two years. I would look at TDL next year about moving the twins but wait and see.
I hope Jake Etem and Vey or JM can find chemistry
The D can be improved but not Byf at 6 + years. - VANTEL
If I'm reading this right, you're advocating to keep the Sedins and you don't want Byf.
And Lefty the last 10 days is saying trade them, is this something you 2 thought up? |

That is exactly what I would be doing for contracts that end at the end of next season |

ONly free agent I want is that guy. 23 year old right hand dman who can put up points. Then you dont need rush as much at finding a replacement for edler over the next couple years. |

Bipolar club
I just want what's best for the franchise, the twins have earned every right to choose their own path forward. Keeping them to mentor these young kids is the best path forward. |

Sorry I am only saying keep them because I have given up ( partially) . I still want full change but won't get a long debate going |

Travis Green said he needs a lot of work on his defensive side of the game but he's made some really good strides in the right direction this year.....the process. |

Interesting, there are some really intriguing players falling down the charts because of one tournament, even with the 3-12 pick (which is where the canucks are going to end up) canucks could potentially get an exceptional d man (like chyrchun if teams didn't like him) that might have just had a bad tourney. TBH I don't believe bottoming out will get us a better player, this is a pretty deep European draft (reading up on them now)
Mathews, Tkachuk seem to be the only clear cut top 3 regulars I could find, lots of differing scouting reports, but I suppose that's normal until the memorial cup |

Chychurin was falling before the tournament , in fact he didn't play in it. |

See, now ISS has sergachev at #10, see what I mean? This could be a crazy draft, or a terrible draft rofl. |
