He's already lobbying Nashville's farm team for more ice time. - CubanBuffet
If he is smart he will be telling Cody to get his millions deferred over the next 20 years. Kids tend to blow it pretty quickly once they are not getting the regular pay checks anymore. |

Hodgson on waivers.
Kassian recalled.
Connauton claimed.

I didn't see E.T. until 2009 - A_SteamingLombardi
My favourite movie of all time hands down.
Did you see the remake with all the cheesey effects or the original?
The original was a masterpiece. |

per Bob McKenzie...Anze Kopitar has been Extended for 8 years at 10 million per AAV.

The Predators have placed Cody Hodgson on waivers. He has three goals and eight points in 39 games this season. - Canuckleafer

No kidding, looks good for the first 4-5 years but at 35-36 with a $10m cap hit? |

It's not simply about the points, obviously. Bugs me when people look at points only, the great players are so much more than points.
Toews & Kopitar are arguably two of the top three centres in the game, with five Stanley Cups between them, Kopitar has one 80 point season and Toews has one 70 point season. |

All good, this is strictly a hockey comment. Both Kopitar and Toews are dream centres in that they have great size, play in every situation, they show up when it matters most and they play at both ends of the ice. |

Classic troll job by Spiegel. Only mentions the Canucks once in the opening sentence, but guarantees a bunch of Canucks comments by calling them classless. Gotta drive up those hits somehow when you're the Florida Panthers writer... |

I skimmed it. I didn't think it was funny, it was more Esplenesque. I also didn't think it was insightful from a non-biased perspective, or well written. I guess there is a reason why one blog regularly receives 500+ comments and another needs to take shots at a fan base to get 30. |

Seems to be the going rate... Toews has scored over 70 once in his career and gets $10.5M. The extra $500,000 must be for 3 cups instead of 2. |

He has been underpaid for years ...these type of contracts are rewards for winning cups and once this CBA is over they will probably buy him out ...I see no problem with it |

Maybe so but it's tough to hear the GM's cry whine and b*tch about how long term high dollar deals handcuff teams...yet they hand out full terms with big money like candy. I get the fact that Kopi deserves something for the championships but wow man...that contract will be an issue in 3-5 years regardless of buyout intentions. |
