When we had a better pp, I could understand the mentality of turning the other cheek, and make the opponent pay... Since our pp has been awful, the taking the beating for the pp hasn't worked.
It is good to see a team stick together and look out for each other.

I very seldom ever understand shying away or turn the other cheek. Not a fan. I think you will create even more room with a Gordie Howe elbow |

I heard this mentioned on the radio today , but I was thinking the other day when was the last time we seen Canuck forwards dangle the puck at high speed. Bure? - VANTEL
Bert tried nazzy was more sniper sedins methodical these kids can play now. Bure is probably right on. By no men's are these kids Bure but the have puck skills for sure. Love the change even from 4 weeks ago great job JB |

I am not a big nostalgia guy so Daniel tying Marcus does little to excite me. What impressed me more is you have an old guy close to the most goals this year.
Daniel popped in his 19 th last night with the season barely over the mid way mark. I hated Daniels play over the last three years. I don't know how many times I said the first line does not need 2 centres. I was ready to get rid of him at any costs because I felt he was not doing what he was expected to do.
The sniper is back and very good on him. - VANTEL
Danny has now joined Hank in the top 100 scorers all time in the NHL. Henrik is 49 points away from the 1000 club and Daniel is 79. They are stating to hit some pretty elite company and it's fun to watch |

No I was right as usual. I even seen you commenting a few times last year about Daniel looking horrible. He came on in the last 15 games last year to speak up to 20 - VANTEL
just messing with you. Does he get 30? |

Meh, Tanev more then makes up for his "soft" persona with solid D play and at a very reasonable price. I'd keep him as a solid top 4 guy. - 1970vintage
Tanev is ok only in my books but that is a discussion that we call the dead horse. I am happy the new guys in are a different mindset. |

If he hits 30 he deserves the key to the city |

You need Tanev to win cups but as a 4 not a 2. We're getting there |

I have no problem with their play this year. |

It what the leaders of the team have done for years, although Hank/Dan seem to be pushing back a bit these days. |

Unfortunately today he is a 2. I agree if he is part of the second pairing then you have a strong D |

I think the league likes having games where the refs put away the whistle, and let the teams fight it out... can't turn the other cheek if the refs don't call the game by the book.
It is nice to see the team sticking up for each other, but we still have to see what we can do against the heavier teams. Liking the speed in the lineup. |

I honestly went from thinking tank it for a draft pick to play as a family and be the underdog nobody wants to play in the playofgs |

Seldom wrong . It just takes longer for some to realize I was right |

Pretty much this. As has been the case for decades, the Canucks do not have a #1 dman. Hopefully we can draft one in the near future. |

That's fair. As long as we win or lose with the kids getting more and more ice and responsibility, I'm fine with it. Also, as long as they still follow through with trading Vrbata, Miller and Hamhuis for picks/prospects. |

Agreed. If that pairing gets pushed down to a second tier, more of a shutdown role, I like it. Buff and a big draft would be huge. |

The best case scenario this year is for the bottom 7 to finish like this
Leafs
Columbus
Buffalo
Canucks
Flames
Ducks
Oilers
This way we make the playoffs and get a top 5 pick |

I agree, sell of Vrbata, Hamhuis at trade deadline for whatever they can get, and play hard for the playoffs |

I am not a fan of Tanev. I can see how some think he is good. I care less about him if he is a number 4 but top 2 I don't like him. |
