So what is up with Edler? Thought he was having a good run and then has 2 stinkers where he looks lost and is fumbling the puck.
Playing injured, fatigued, mental fatigue? has just looked off.
I'm never against trading him for the right return, but if he plays like that, he will be a Canuck until he retires. |

If you ask Beatle John or myself we think it's cocaine. Maybe not but that's what I am sticking with. No one can play that bad unless they are high |

interesting. But what makes you say cocaine exactly? Not sure if you guys have any experience with it. Of course being in medicine I will know about this drug, but people will present differently of course.
A hangover alone is enough to slow a pro athlete quite a bit, maybe ever worse than being high. Chronic drinking will mess you up.
I wonder how often the nhl drug tests the players.
But it could even be stress....its a killer. A bad marriage or something of that nature can / will screw up anyone. Never underestimate the destructive power of stress. |

They should blame it on the sticks or the skates or something.
For the most part, I thought Edler has looked pretty good this year. Appeared to be rushing up the ice a bit more, getting involved offensively. Just lately, woah.

Just got back from Costco, damn that place is a nightmare. And you thought people in cars were bad in Richmond, pushing a grocery cart is even worse. |

Unfortunately for him its his contract that is killing his chances at NHL, no one will claim him and pay his full salary. The best chance he had was a trade and the Canucks eating salary, him at $1.5 is a fair price for his services but I guess there wasnt a deal anyone liked - WhiteLie
Do we get a Chris Higgins press conference tomorrow from Utica saying that he would have been picked up if he was a UFA this year but ultimately ends up saying "my contract sucks" ? |

crazy. I can handle a few bad games here and there. just hope he is getting back to all world. Sbisa would look more comfortable handling the puck than Edler has in the last couple games... |

When you have nothing, Weber, Biega and Bartkowski, (maybe Sbisa too) look like attractive options. When you have had these guys in the lineup for a year or two, you start feeling like you should roll the dice and see what ufa's and other options are out there.
It is easy for me to say someone is replaceable, it is a little harder when the time comes to actually find what you want.
I have never been against trading Edler or Tanev or any dman for the right return, but it will be hard to replace what these guys bring, because if they are worth anything it is because these guys aren't available very often at a reasonable cost.
I am looking forward to the Summer, and tdl for that matter, just to see the different moves. |

He's just an overrated , average dman masquerading as a top 2. Glitter dust is washing off ! |

We should trade him. Get two big fast physical defenceman who can provide some offense for half his salary. ... |
