He's still the best d-man I ever saw....and that includes Lidstrom.

I wonder how many of Ovi's assists were a result of a shot the tender stopped as compared to a pass he gave intentionally ??

hmmmmm......isn't that like saying Ray Bourque was nothing in Boston, and was at his best winning a cup in Colorado?
- mykokes

No, it's like saying Jonathan Toews won 3 Cups with the Blackhawks.

It's only been one season for Sid, and even then his worst is still better than 85% of the league. Last year he would've bagged another art ross if not for injuries. Sid is still Sid, despite what the last 40 games say.

Not long ago, people were saying Ovechkin wouldn't score more than 30 goals again.

he became predictable for a bit there, but he's adapted.

he's still the best goal scorer in the N, as much as that hurts to type.

My point was more that people saying that Crosby is done and washed out, will likely eat crow next season when he puts up over a point per game again, like he did last season.

I'm in 1st place in my pool because I was picking up players like Jeff Carter, Loui Eriksson and Bobby Ryan in the 9-12 rounds.

yeah he's back at it...kunitz getting worse, dupuis career done, hornqvist slowing down, kessel and sid didnt mesh well and he doesn't play with Malkin unless PP.

lots of factors at the start of the year I feel.

Might as well put Malkin / Crosby together if Crosby - Kessel isn't working

I haven't really watched Crosby this year, but my nephew worships him, so the Penguins games are on a lot at my brother's house.

My brother thought that maybe Sid was injured - pure speculation, but he was saying that Crosby just didn't look right.

And that he'd basically be dead by now because he plays "too hard".

I kind've wanted to see Hodgson claimed too...guess he'll be an offseason bargain bin signing instead.

Andersen to Toronto would be a big upgrade over anything we have, IMO.

That's what frenchie keeps telling me. Even still, i had a soft spot for the guy.....still remember 2008/09 with the Battalion and the gold medal winning Team Canada team. He was pretty good in 2012/13 too. Ah well.....another top prospect I was wrong about.

It's so weird. Guy puts up numbers in the big league and then completely falls off the map for no apparent reason.
