Sick play, but could the goalie be any further out of position? I don't watch a lot of Finnish hockey, I'll be honest, maybe they play ultra aggressive there. |

You saw it in person?
Once a movie's been out for over a month it's no longer "spoiling"; especially Star Wars where every other web site has "spoilers" about it. |

Thoughts: if we are looking to build a team with mostly young, 25ish , established players who have history of some success, AND we have a need at wing, AND we need scoring....why are we talking about trading Ennis and/or McGinn?
Ennis has speed, skill, and gets 20 + per year even on a crappy team, and JM has been solid in everything they've asked him to do, plus probably would not cost a ton to keep him a few years. |

The reason it's being discussed is because of the article that LeBrun posted on ESPN. He talked to Murray and Murray has been getting a lot of calls on Ennis. Marty Biron speculated today on WGR that he's getting calls because teams feel they can get him on the cheap since he's having a very down year. He said he thinks it would be a bad idea to trade him.
Guess we'll have to wait and see. |

To be fair he was getting 20+ a year on a crappy team because he was playing top prime minutes... he's not going to get that on every team. |

Ennis is a 2nd liner on any contending team above .500 most seasons. That is for sure.
I still think that he could be that role here on this team though in the coming seasons.
The only reason why I could see him on the block is just because Blysma doesn't believe he really fits in his system.
??/Kane - ROR - Reinhart
??/Kane - Eichel - Ennis
Is how I would look at it long term. I would wonder if Eichel becomes 1C and ROR becomes 1LW so that Kane is 2LW but I don't think moving ROR off the dot is ogign to happen any time soon after how well he is playing there this year. |

Jesus Criminey... why is that goalie all the way out to the bottom of the circles!!??
if it was a pure breakaway and you wanted to cut down angles sure I get it.. but that seems like an easy ass goal to me. |

I feel fairly certain that there will be changes to our to our top 6 by the time next season comes around.

I'd say that Kane, ROR, Eichel, and Samson aren't going any where... so you have 2 spots open. Maybe even Girgensons on the wing could be #5 locked down. |

I just want to paint a picture for everyone saying that Buffalo got Lehner and that was awful because other guys went for less. Granted this is not compared directly to Lehner due to injury but...
Talbot - 7-13-2 2.75 GAA and .908 S%
Lack - 5-7-3 2.96 GAA and .890 S%
Lindback 5-5-1 3.11 GAA and .893 S%
Jones - 18-13-2 2.47 GAA and .912 S%
Enroth 3-3-1 2.18 GAA and .930 S%
Raanta 4-3-1 2.10 GAA and .920 S%
Neuvirth 9-5-1 2.12 GAA and .934 S%
Johnson - 10-12-1 2.46 GAA and .916 S%
Ullmark - 7-10-0 2.58 GAA and .915 S%
(Lehner - 0-0 2.18 GAA and .917 S%)
Jones is the only one that is an every night starter but his numbers are actually pretty identical to Chad Johnson. Enroth and Raanta are playing behind a top caliber defense in VERY limited minutes and their numbers show it. Talbot, Lack, and Lindback are all backups to other guys on their new teams after getting the big trade for them.
Neuvirth is the outlier here. He is having an OUTSTANDING year in Philly which NO ONE predicted. His 2.12 GAA is his lowest since AHL days in 2009. His best NHL numbers with WSH were 2.45. His S% is also an all-time career high no matter what stage in his career.
Think people maybe need to put down their pitchforks and torches about not going and getting one of these other guys instead of Lehner.
Anyone I am missing that people wanted to see here instead of the Lehner deal? |

I think that's a fair place to put him. And i know ROR has done some time at RW not too sure about LW |
