I caught a little of the Russo-Souhan podcast from yesterday and it sounded like Dumba was the price. It was more a matter of if that was what Yzerman considered the best deal.

If they are out of it, I wonder who else is offering up a young defenseman? I had read somewhere the Ducks might be willing to move Sami Vatanen. 24, right shot D, coming off expiring entry level contract. Compared to Dumba, Vatanen would probably be more help to the Lightning right now.

For a guy on an expiring contract with a history of injuries for Mantha, Vrana, or Honka who are all top 25 prospects in hockey according to HF.

I'd highly doubt we could get the obvious ones like Domi, Duclair, Perlini, Strome, or Dauphin.

I would imagine a prospect like one of the Samuelssons or Mayo or Capobianco on defense.

Highly doubt we get a top end one like Domi, Duclair, Perlini, Strome, Dauphin, or even Dvorak.

Well i mean I have him on the 2nd line... he'd probably get something somewhat similar to Moulson but he brings a lot more.

There are a few options I like out there such as Boedker as well which is why I listed him.


I think Ennis who is a proven 20 goal scorer... proven top 6 guy.. on a 3 year deal for less than 5M could actually be pretty good offer seeing as how they have Stamkos 10M+ possible in addition to what 6 or 7 guys who are RFAs this year or next. Plus we take Carle's 5.5M for the next 3 years off their hands.

Its a lot better deal than some other teams can offer I bet.
