Depends on if Ennis is the biggest piece. Could get a piece from both teams. Who knows - Stripes77
It's a tricky one to thing of because no of these teams is in tear down mode but all of them are looking ahead. |

He is going for a D prospect I'd bet. Mayo, samulesson, or dougherty I'd bet. |

Why a D prospect though, that's the one area im not worried about. I'd imagine he'd more interested in a roster player. |

Fine...
Then Boedker+ just due to the fact of what would we gain by giving up a guy with term for an expiring contract. |

At some point you have to get real offensive talent. It depends on if they see Girgensons as a top 6 winger or your 3rd line center. If it's the latter moving him for top 6 potentially top 3 talent is something worth discussing. - Stripes77
I see Girgensons as a 3C that can push up to the 2nd line . Only issue is we have Eichel/Reinhart/ROR all ahead of him that can all man the top 2 center lines.
Girgensons should never be playing 2nd line center role as ROR/Reinhart and Eichel are all interchangeable in that spot with one of the other two playing top line center and the other riding wing.
You are not going to get Drouin with the typical Middle forward/ C prospect and 2nd rd pick.
Sometimes you have to give to get. Girgensons is a position of strength for us.
Im not happy about the idea of trading him, but drouin is a potential winger talent that this team desperately needs. |

TBL don't need Girgensons though. Their top 2 lines are packed at C as well. Doesn't make sense for them to want him.

Make it a three way deal with Philly or Phoenix. |

Our best d prospects are years away from playing here. That's the biggest immediate need in the org. |

Then that's the need, a roster player not a prospect. if we're talking just prospects forwards are the biggest need. |

Not a big Del Zotto fan tbh. Then again, I don't know what Ennis' value is. |

How do you figure? We have a full roster now and two decent prospects in Rochester. We also have vets in Rochester that we can fill in. I'd be concerned if we didn't have a lot of talent on the top 2 lines.

Wouldn't rochester count as pro though? But even still, if were talking about trading Ennis for just prospects, you wouldn't expect getting those kinds of players in return. Guhle, Martin, Borgen have shown flashes of having something special, something that can translate to the pro level one day. I haven't seen much of that from any of our forward prospects outside of Fasching. |

Who is a nice prospect that a contending team might give up for McGinn?
Mantha?
Anthony D'Angelo
Jakub Vrana
Julius Honka
We would probably have to add, but I wouldn't mind getting a good prospect back instead of a pick - sbroads24

We are a very low scoring team. We absolutely need a natural goal scoring winger.

Sure, but we have wing prospects in Rochester. We are years away from seeing one of the kids in juniors here (and then breaking them in). If we are serious about contending in two years we need a young D that is a little further along. |

But wouldn't that be considered adding a roster player, not a prospect? I don't disagree with the idea just the category. Like If they could only acquire a prospect(s) i would prefer a forward. But for the team, yea ill take a young D-man with upside. |

I believe "roster" implies playing on the big club. "Prospect" is someone in the minors or lower.

I just dont know what else we could get from Philly that would be worth it to them.
Giroux, Voracek are obviously out.
Simmonds? Doubtful
Read, Laughton or Coutouriere? Maybe but how does that help Us
Gostisbehere? His values is through the roof right now, cant see Philly giving up on him.
That Leaves MDZ.
Maybe MDZ and Read?
