Oh i agree, others think he should stay... and i understand i think he's earned it, but he'll benefit the most in Roch.

Yeah, when I lived in Buffalo, many people told me i should get out there to see that annual show. Never made it.



I saw Metallica/G&R and Faith No more at the Ralph….had to have been 90? 91? Only time i ever set foot in that stadium. Good show though.
I wouldn't bother seeing VH without Diamond Dave. Probably never going to seriously happen in my lifetime.

That was the show where the stadium turned into a battle while waiting for GnR. People throwing everything they could find. It was an amazing site to see with all the cups in the air but was getting out of hand. I think people started buying things just to throw.
Saw Metallica in a bar in South Buffalo during the blizzard of 85. Armored Saint and Wasp opened. Never got home til the following afternoon. Spent the night in Mighty until the manager threw everyone out. Paid some random dude we found in the donut shop with a truck to take us home. Didn't have a car yet and I probably wouldn't have made it anyway. Good teenage memories

While his game has looked good for the most part, there are aspects of it that could use some work, which is expected. Let him hone his skills in the AHL without the glaring spotlight in his face all the time.

He wasn't playing poorly. But I'd rather him be getting starts in Rochester than sitting around here twiddling his thumbs. There's still plenty of room for improvement in his overall game.

Being that Johnson is a UFA at the end of the year and the fact that Ullmark has performed well this year, it would make sense to try and get something for Johnson at this point. Get what you can for anyone that will probably not be on the team next year.

Heard that Detroit offered Nyquist, Mantha, and a 1st for Stamkos. TBL said if they can convince Drouin to stay that could be close.

Detroit then offered Nyquist and Mantha for Drouin and they said.. "Not enough"


GTFO.. I'd trade half our team for Nyquist or Mantha.

Where did you hear this? Not saying it isn't true, but does Yzerman have an issue with his old team? Did they promise him to be GM there or something and it fell through or they signed someone else? Maybe he is bitter?

Also, Nyguist is $4.75m cap hit and Mantha is really low for 3 years, so maybe Detroit was not willing to take back money? They also just signed Nyguist to a 4 year deal in July, so could they really be willing to move him that soon?
