Where did you hear this? Not saying it isn't true, but does Yzerman have an issue with his old team? Did they promise him to be GM there or something and it fell through or they signed someone else? Maybe he is bitter?
Also, Nyguist is $4.75m cap hit and Mantha is really low for 3 years, so maybe Detroit was not willing to take back money? They also just signed Nyguist to a 4 year deal in July, so could they really be willing to move him that soon? - Lilroot9
I'd drag my balls for shards of glass and dip them in lemon juice to see Nyquist in a Sabres sweater. That dude is as f'n legit as they come. |

So everyone of us who thought that Ennis, Bail/Bap or Foligno and a pick could get Drouin... Yea... Nope.
Heard that Detroit offered Nyquist, Mantha, and a 1st for Stamkos. TBL said if they can convince Drouin to stay that could be close.
Detroit then offered Nyquist and Mantha for Drouin and they said.. "Not enough"
GTFO.. I'd trade half our team for Nyquist or Mantha. - JVince11
That offer for Drouin can't be true
IMO, to get Nyquist it would take Drouin ++, not the other way around
Do u have some kind of a link for this?
Just doesn't make sense
The offer for stamkos seems reasonable to me |

Just making Ennis out to be a 4th liner.
Said that his points per 60 minutes over the past 3 years were compared to guy slike Tommy Wingels and other 3rd and 4th liners
Here is Ennis's points per 60 over the past 3 years
1.34
1.41
1.25
Here is another Sabre wingers Points per 60
1.76
1.11
.89
Anyone wanna guess who the 2nd guy is? - sbroads24
Ennis is not a 4th liner. IMO he is a 2nd line winger.
Ennis for Brodin and a cap dump. |

I think I'd rather trade for Shats or Brodin than Drouin. |

Custance said last night that
STL offered Shattenkirk plus a prospect for Drouin as well.
Didn't say what TBL response was. - JVince11
has to be more involved, Tampa cant afford to take cap on, Tampa probably would be sending Coburn back to make the cap work |

Found this link on the Pens board. Here are some "highlights":
There is a committee currently discussing possible changes to the agreement between the NHL and CHL. Also, there's been talk about whether to change the age threshold for draft eligibility.
"We have also, from time to time, discussed negotiating for the ability to assign 18-year-old players to the AHL, but I am not satisfied that the right would be universally supported by our managers, and I know any such provision would be forcefully resisted by the CHL and its owners."
As one current AHL coach explained, it would be better if a teenage rookie were allowed to remain on the NHL roster for 40 games, and instead of sending him back to juniors, he could be assigned to the AHL, where he would have to stay for the remainder of that season.

Buddy of mine who is in the Detroit area... Said that it was being talked about on local hockey media outlets.
I don't think i would even trade Nyquist, Mantha, and a 1st for Stamkos... even if Stamkos was extended. I don't think that is worth it.
Nyquist and Mantha are legit 1LW and 1RW IMO. I wouldn't trade 2 top forwards for one elite star who has regressed the past year or so. Stamkos was really a ghost in the playoffs last year even though he put in 18 points and hasn't had a huge impact this season either to his typical caliber. |

Yeah that's the first time I've seen that. Very cool.
What i see there is that McGinn needs more ice time in the offensive zone. |

Not surprised the CHL would be mad about that... that'd mean some of the most elite young talents in the world who previously were in the WHL, OHL, and Q would no longer be there.

also could start to water down the World Juniors if more and more junior eligible stars are playing Pro in the AHL, they may not be released to play for their home countries.
I dont see it happening, maybe they can start doing a case by case scenario and grant players the ability to play AHL as a 19 year old, but cant see a blanket rule change |

He puts him everywhere. You can't really keep track of what disco does. All that's certain right now is that Rorzilla plays 1C and Eichel plays 2C and Legwand plays 4C. |

That was another thing Coller said, that he compares to McGinn.
McGinn has had the luxury of playing with O'Reilly and guys like Eichel this season.
Ennis has looked brutal so far no doubt, but this is an outlier season for him, not the normal |

our top line is Kane - ROR - McGinn right now.
so yea... ROR and Kane are leaders in the NHL in ice time and defensive zone time if I remember right... so I would assume so yes. |

Ennis spent the first like 20 games on the same line as ROR as well...
We started the year with lines of...
Moulson - ROR - Ennis
Kane - Eichel - Reinhart/Gionta/Girgensons
If I remember right. |

Ennis allegedly was struggling with an injury in the beginning of the year, I believe. It'd help us a lot if he could get duplicate his success the last 2 years with his cap and the position he plays. |

is there still chatter of ennis to philly? If so I am just wondering what he brings that Gagner can't do. Have they tried Gagner at wing? I know they just sent him down, but they produce at about the same rate |
