If I'm not mistaken, Kane played both C and W while in junior. However, don't forget that the Hawks also had Toews that they'd drafted the previous year. Center was not their immediate need in the same way it was ours.

Also, Kane has played Center at times for Chicago, so you can't entirely assume they "didn't" take a center.

Water follows the path of least resistance. It is easier to be a pessimist and claim "I told you so", then to be an optimist and find a "reason" why it didn't work out.

All I know is that last year I watched maybe a total of 5 games, this year I have not missed one, and have attended 3 games in person, because of the "change" in attitude and a feeling that we are never out of it.

I fully expect Lehner to be a top half goalie, maybe better, it was never going to be this year because of a big concussion last year and the ankle just compounded everything, but he will be the #1 goalie.

Same here. However, I think that has more to do with the fact that many of our guys have had trouble finishing. Eichel should have a boat load more assists too. You need more than 1 guy that's able to finish on a team.
