You are right, 5.15 mil on 2 fighters who lose fights is a good idea.
- A_SteamingLombardi

Im not advocating what they are paid.

The point was we are tougher with them than without to the poster who wanted them both gone leaving us with nothing.

well you sure are opinionated, which is OK. So am I.

we are telling you you are missing some of this. Please try to see beyond your view here, theres more here.

But I agree heavier teams do steamroll us. But its not cause of an enforcer ....its just the team is overall bigger, powering their way through to pucks, hits etc. It wins games

- SMBDragon

We aren't trying to tell me anything. You are, you spoke of Dorsett and prusts toughness and how they make people accountable. I told you exactly why I don't think they do that...if you don't like my opinion that's cool. But the facts don't lie, we are the most pushed around team in the league and it hasn't slowed down one bit since we acquired those two guys.

You're right it slows down the game. Its not about fear its about a game within a game. If you're 4th line is only out there when there needs to be a fight then its a 3 line team. You need a 4th line that can play. Knowing you can throw out the 4th line anytime during a game and count on them to not only create energy but it lets other teams know that line could be the next line up against you're top line and gun for your top players. Look at NYI's 4th line very similar.

Right thunda...you get it. THe game within the game. D tactics. Most fans do not see this.

Like I said....a mean D man that punishes guy crossing the blue line. It crushed offense

The real problem is we have a culture of victims here now. A bunch of players waiting for someone like Prust to defend their honor. We have had this problem of team toughness since this became the Sedins team. And it will not go away until after they are gone and a new identity forms here. This is the basis of our tank nation, we are all longing for a team that man for man stands up for itself.

I get where bullfrog is coming from but Brashear wasn't going to detour Scott Stevens from doing his job.

Nope but he would make him feel it. No nhl player should be intimidated from playing his roll...yet it happens every game

What we really need is for the NHL Division of Player Safety to actually give out significant penalties for players making stupid plays. Any shot to the head should be automatic MINIMUM 10 game suspension, and if he's a repeat offender, the penalty goes up exponentially. 3 suspensions and you're banned for life. Do that and make the refs call the poop that happens in scrums after the whistle and you won't need to have players who can/do fight, they won't need to.

No worries cuban.... remember its how you look at it too. This is a blessing you will have in your life and you should view it as such.

Its a learning process looking after a baby for sure. You'll be fine. Look forward to it instead. Use friends and family to help out and show you the way.

Nothing to fear here. If its a girl though, you'll be fine till 13. Then fear her lol

Youre missing the point....
its about making the other players on the team accountable like was said by thunder a few posts ago

Their tough guy doesnt factor in if hes on the bench sitting cause he has no value otherwise.

fear is good yes but youre looking at it one dimensionally

- SMBDragon

He doesn't get it. A monkey stapled to the bench is not the answer

Your first? It's funny, with your first you think you need to save their life every day. Constantly on alert. It's exhausting.

By the time the second comes, you stop and think "I haven't seen the kids in hours..." and then you go back to what you are doing.

I'm not trolling anything...this is my opinion. You started this buy sayin Prust and Dorsett provided accountability. Fine... Maybe I didn't word it exactly as you did...still fine, but that was you're argument and I argued te opposite. Apparently to great success cause you're all butthurt about my wording ??? Who gives a poop the basic story is still the basic story. You appreciate the toughness they add to the team. Great....I still don't ! Ok? Can we (frank)ing drop it now? Or did I miss quote you again?

I agree darius. I think life might be a bit harsh tho. Maybe half a season.

while I do agree there should be automatics...what do we do if its a bad call?
Or if a player starts running their face into elbows to get a player ejected from a series like the bruins would do. Imagine both sedins gone cause guys directed their heads into a hit.

thered have to be safeguards in place. But yes automatics otherwise wqould take the guesswork out of a suspension and create fairness
