I was expecting to see other players have a few shifts with the Sedins.

Still wonder though, how much input upper management has in line combinations or roles for certain players?

We heard it in the end of year talks from JB and TL, the type of player they see playing with the Sedins, someone to play a simple, physical game, go into the corners to retrieve pucks, then get it to the Sedins and that player goes to the front of the net and gets back to cover the defensive zone when we lose possession.

I'd prefer Vrbata over Dorsett. Burrows hasn't been finishing but is still likely a better option over Dorsett. I guess WD doesn't want to put Prust, Etem, or JV there.

Cracknell might have been a better option than Dorsett on their wing.

I think it's minimal...but it's there. Like I said in previous posts you just can't hang everything on WD right now...especially with the personnel he has to work with. 6-3-2 with this group over the past 11 with all the injuries...he must be doing 'something' right...

I think WD's stubbornness in refusing to play Vrbata again with the twins is an error. While they were shut down in the playoffs last year, they also played some very good hockey as well.

Dorsett continues to be his go to player in all situations which IMO is stupid. The Canucks don't have a lot of offensive weapons but they certianly have better options when down a goal, have an extra attacker, need a player for the Sedin's etc.

I honestly thought that Dorsett with the Sedins was just WD trying to throw Trotz for a loop, trying to gain any slight advantage against a clearly superior team. I also thought it wouldn't work, that Trotz was way to smart to fall for it. And then WD proceeded to play Dorsett with the Sedins for the entire game.

I know that WD doesn't have a lot to work with and I don't criticize every decision he makes, but that one, man, that one is a head scratcher.

I don't, as i was mentioning who or the type of player management envisions should play with the Sedins, did they acquire that player or develop that player for WD this season?

no.

Lots of injuries. Trying to win. Trying to develop younger players and not throw them to the wolves. WD is going to drop the ball from time to time. regardless though, we were in tough last night.
