I think I'd disagree with this. Then again, the movies are completely different kinds of experiences, so I'm not sure I could fairly compare them. It is a pretty good flick, though. I was certainly entertained.

Even within the fantasy world of the Star Wars legend, the latest movie is internally inconsistent and incomplete. It's a mediocre high action chapter in a very popular story riding the coat tails of the better chapters. (Why do we see so much of that girl running from one place to the next??)

The Somali pirates movie is complete unto itself, and carries plenty of its own action.

Outside of maybe 30 seconds, that period was awful hockey, to me at least

I have not seen the new Star Wars, but I am sure Captain Phillips is better.

Dunno about masterpiece but it was certainly a return to form. I think expectations/ childhood context / it's cool to tag on stuff influences people's views a lot.

Robin's face is a puck magnet.
