wanted to ask you... where do you rate the kids in this years' draft compared to the last few drafts... so if I asked you to make a 1-10 of these guys where would you put them.

McDavid, Eichel, MacKinnon, Reinhart, Matthews, Puljujarvi, Hanifan, Draistaitl, Barkov, and Drouin.

Do we know much about Elliot because I don't feel like I know anything about him? 24 year old DMen. From Avs first then to ARZ... never been a full time NHL type guy. Offensive minded. 6'1 190 lbs.

All I gotta say is this...

Resign Stamkos at 11M per year...

Killorn, Brown, Namestnikov, Kucherov, Paquette, and Nesterov are all RFAs.

That is your 1C, 2LW, 2RW, 3LW, 4LW, and 2LD.

You would have to not resign a few of them to keep Stamkos. Already OVER the Cap too. You have Coburn's 4.5M, and Ohlund's 3.6M coming off the cap. So you will need to replace your 2RD and a 7th.

I would really look at taking EVERYTHING for Stamkos you can.. and resigning all of these guys and promoting Drouin. You will probably get the 2nd pairing DMan AND a top pairing winger in return for Stamkos plus a 1st rounder.

If I'm Yzerman.... I'm trading Stamkos. I'll take quantity over quality. It's like Ovechkin in WSH. Can't win a cup.

I was curious of where Matthews and Puljujarvi rated amongst them. I would have thought Matthews as top 4 but MacKinnon at 3. Also would have thought Reinhart about right in the middle but with Drouin much higher.

That is about EXACTLY how I would have done it but switch Puljujarvi with Drouin and Hanifan with Draisaitl.

That is true.... yea... i'm trading Stamkos right now SO F'N HARD!!!

Try to get someone to eat Garrison or Carle's contracts maybe as a bonus.
