It is very sad and desperate. WD afraid to try different dmen and have it get worse. Doesn't feel like it can get much worse but from our position in the Pacific, it could...

Seeing Sven get knocked to the ice is just the graphic to illustrate how we have issues with more physical teams.

- hillbillydeluxe

I really don't know why they don't dress 7 d men...only let weber on the ice as pp guy and maybe the odd shift as 4th line winger to keep his legs warm. Dress a big tough d man like pedan...seems to me the team would be better served.

Done deal. Scott and Elliot to MTL for Tinordi.

MTL flipping Elliot to NSH for Victor Bartley

- Codes1087

I wonder if this deal is clear a roster spot for druoin? Zero clue who bartley is..

if montreal needed to clear cap space to allow the acquisition of these 2 then it makes sense to trade tinordi away for waiver clearing guys
- SMBDragon

Tinordi was/is waiver eligible as well. Other 3 players involved in the trade today were all placed on waivers at one point this season. I understand MTL didn't want to lose out on Tinordi for nothing, but I am sure he could have fetched atleast a pick from somewhere...

that is exactly it. I understand that the trade value for Oleksiak and Tinordi are low given the fact that they would be claimed, but still, the fact that they would definitely get claimed shows SOME value in regards to draft picks.

Id take oleksiak if he came up for sure as he can skate pretty good for a big guy, im not high on tinordi at all, its like he wears concrete skates.

@Thats_Offside
If Vancouver takes Weber out of the lineup for Sbisa, there's a good argument to be made that they're dressing 3 of the NHL's 6 worst D-men.

If they leave him in you couldmake the same argument.

Why are Nashville trading for a Dman. Don't they already have them all?

How many more games do you think Vrbata and Hamhuis has wearing the orca?

We have 17 games left before the trade deadline. 9 Home Games.

How many days between when Hamhuis returns and TDL is the better question.

Canucks should try get a couple of 2nd or 3rd rounders for those guys. Gotta figure someone would give up a 2nd rounder for Vrbata.

Vrbata needs 9 more goals in those 17 games.

20 goal scorer looks good for trade value.

I don;t think he will be back until the playoffs. That was a (frank) of an injury.

vrbata might get a 2nd and 3rd. I would be disapointed with anything less than a second but also think a low first rounder is not out of the question. Throw in Higgins!

Can't get a first rounder for him while he plays on the fourth line like last night
