Until it is covered but they dont see it and its knocked into the goal...

Those plays you can't really complain about. Just call them all the same and usually it ends up working out for everyone in the long run.

It's Dave Jackson. He's always had a fast whistle. Always.

Really gets me. Whts more is some refs do and some don't. Again- continuity like I said in my other, presumably non-worthwhile post.

What's the big deal? They can't give a 15 second explanation? The refs go over to the coaches and explain but they can't explain it to everyone watching? Kind of a poopty way to operate.

- Giroux_Is_God

Yeah. It would have been nice to hear the ref say something like "The goaltender's glove was bumped, but he was given enough time to re-establish position before the shot came." or "The Red Wing player was pushed into the goalie's glove and he did everything in his power to avoid the goaltender."

We might have disagreed with those assessments, but we'd at least know why he made that call.

Watching the Flyers win a shoot out on the road vs Redwings makes me feel like I've entered some kind of Twilight Zone alternate reality.

First time watching a full game of Dylan Larkin. He is really special already.
Can't believe how fast he plays with the puck and with so much poise at his age.
Just wow.

Even with all the great skilled players for Detroit on the ice, Voracek stood out to me as the best. His set up of G's goal was as pretty an assist you can see, and his determination on the shoot out was amazing.

Fabulous game, despite Dave Jackson.

Two great efforts both going to the Skills Comp which I still hate.

Mason had a beach ball but played well otherwise Saturday. When Hak put Ghost out for the first shooter that place went bonkers. We all were waiting to see something insane from him but he seemed to keep it simple. G is G in a shootout. Why not use Simmer instead of Jake was our thought which we got to see the answer last night.

Tailgating before that game seemed odd in January but hey I'll take being able to hang out throw some washers and drink some adult beverages.

Last night was just crazy I joined viewing a little late due to watching Playoff football but I saw the replay of White's penalty. He will get a few thanks to his previous history. So Weal should be in Tuesday at least.

I was a little worried about Schenn when we went down. Looked bad.

Neuvirth and Mrazek were insane trading saves. I loved the between periods acknowledging each other. Some will hate it but if you are on as well as those two were last night go for it.

Got to wipe the arena ice with the Laffs on Tuesday.

Did not have a problem with that either- they know each other well from their childhood and are rumored to be friends.

I do prefer Jones in the studio. And he's not bad at all, I just don't like him as much as I thought I would, I guess.

I feel the same about JR. He can hardly speak and when his jumbled statement finally concludes, it tends to make little sense.
- PhillySportsGuy

The funny thing is, when JR played, media types always felt JR would be a media success because of his alleged glibness. I have yet to see evidence of this glibness in a studio role. I'm really not even sure why he's there.

I'm sure he's friendly and charismatic off camera, but he offers next to nothing and sounds like he never learned any form of sentence structure as a child.

Red Wings are a terrible shootout team as well. Fans were blaming Jimmy Howard but I think there is a lot more to it than that.
